Run Until You Make It To The Finish Line.

WHAT TYPE OF RUNNER ARE YOU?

What type of Spiritual race are you running?

Are you a marathon runner?

  • A runner who runs at a long distance?
  • A runner who trains to perform better?
  • A runner who is very compatible?
  • A runner who can withstand any type of storm or condition it faces?
  • A runner who takes care of their inner man by feeding it right and hydrates it often?
  • A runner that doesn’t overload on unhealthy ingredients? “OR, ARE YOU “

A Sprinter?

  • A runner who needs to get pumped up prior to a race?
  • A runner who is spiritually equipped with what’s needed before hand?
  • A runner that will not be defeated?
  • A runner that lags behind to the point where it looks like they’re losing only to come out on top?
  • A runner who cares about building endurance to finish the race?

The truth about both of these type of runners, is that they both are zoned minded runners. Zoned in on finishing the race, no matter what!! Regardless of their course of running, because no one runs the same way.

However, it’s all beneficial to becoming a winner. In (1Cor 9:24) we are called to run to win Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way to get the prize.

During any race, you’ll always be surrounded by people on each side of you, but in order to win that race, your eyes must be on the prize at all times (ON JESUS).

This is a race of living a life of obedience to the Word of God.

A race that has no competitors, where everyone wants each other to win! In this race, there are no losers!

Everyone’s trying to accomplish the same goal, and that’s a goal of winning.

Winning souls right into the kingdom of light, and out of the kingdom of darkness. (Eph 5:8-9 )For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.

This is the race that is going to be won against all the world’s (ism’s) like “Paganism, Materialism, Worldli-ism (Yeah, I just made that word up) which is really Worldliness.”

In this world today everything seems to be crying out to us during this race. However, we as Christians, must not allow ourselves to get tripped up in what’s crying out to us while we are trying to run. (Luke 9:62) “Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”

We Ourselves; must not, bow down to the TV shows we find ourselves in love with, that’s crying out to us, to come watch them.

We must not, bow down to social media sites, that is crying out to us, to come find out the latest gossip.

We must not, bow down to, the daily news on all television channels and internet sources available, because they too, are also crying out for our attention, to come and feed our minds on the negativity.

And, let’s not forget about our unsaved colleagues and family members…..those in whom we love…..those who are also crying out in such negative ways trying to keep you in that old mindset. That mindset where you used to be at one point in your life, that you are no longer. That mindset of being a lover of the world, and it’s ways of doing things…Sinning!

I’m sure there’s one thing we as believers can agree upon, and that is, “those that are unsaved, they are faithful to their (ISM’S)”… And believe it or not, even some Christians are faithful to this world’s (ISM’S). We can not serve both though!(Matthew 6:24) No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

Whether you choose to believe this or not, ( A relationship with Jesus, Your Faith and Obedience) are the only things you need. The reason I say (Jesus, Faith, and Obedience) is because, let’s face it, it’s all we have, if we want to win in this world…

For those of us that are running our race, we have to know that we need Jesus and the Word of God to acheive it. And more than anything to fill us up, and keep us filled so we can continue to run this race. The right race toward the goal (Phil. 3:14) I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

Yeah, that race set before us everyday, the faith race (Heb. 12:1-2) Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.

That race to get souls back to it’s rightful owner. Our Creator! Yes, so the angels in Heaven can celebrate, Amen!! (Luk. 15:7) I tell you that in the same way there will be rejoicing in Heaven over one repentant sinner–more rejoicing than over ninety-nine blameless persons who have no need of repentance (&) (Luke 15:10) In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents.”

The race of faith we’re supposed to run. The race we run with patience, looking unto Jesus. Its the race where our focus on Jesus is the way we make it all the way to the end. Where we find God waiting to say, “Well Done!” This is and should be the only Christian race we run. (Heb. 12:1-2)

Most people want both God and the world, but this is impossible as James says in (Jam. 4:4) You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

Our job is to free people from the ways of this world, not become like it. To stand out and accomplish what God has called us to do.(Matthew 28:19)Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. It is not possible for you to run two races at the same time. It’s just not.

You have to choose. You have to make a decission, and make the right one. Not just for now, but for all Eternity!

Yeah, I know that we go to church on Sunday, but what does that really account for? Are you applying what you heard? Studying to show thyself approved? (2 timothy 2:15)Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a worker who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.

Because in all honesty, many of us go to Church on Sunday just to go through the motions with the oohs, and ahh’s, but by Monday evening most of us can’t even remember what Sunday’s sermon was about.

And let’s not even get started on Wednesday night bible study! Because by then, you’re just looking forward to the weekend!! Be honest…

The best way to know if you’re winning the race you’ve set out to win for God, is by knowing what’s in your heart, and what God’s placed in your heart.

Do you feel full? Full of Power? Full of life? Or, do you feel empty and sluggish? Disoriented and hopeless?

Truth be told, getting closer to God is going to bring life, and by getting closer to the world, it’s going to bring death and separation. (1John 2:15)Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

So, I ask you again? What race are you running? To save lost souls, or to stay connected to them? What do you think Paul was talking about when he said in (1Tim. 4:10) For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.

Honestly, God is the Only true source of life. Jesus said it in (Luke 17:33) Whoever tries to keep their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life will preserve it.
Some people are running the race of approval from this world, while being choked by their riches and cares.

They are the quote on quote, too busy ones. Those only breathing to get rich, who run only after gaining more materialism, than trying to get to know the One who created them. This type of living always blurs the vision of one…. so much, that by the end of it all, they have only produced nothing but rotten fruit. That’s that fruit, that does not produce anything good. Sad but true, a lot of them are (these so called Christians.)

The ones that have one foot in the world and one in the kingdom…..those that sing in the chior and teach kids bible class 101, those running a race all in their own lane, thinking it can be won with Jesus on the sidelines, in their back pocket… Sorry, ALL LIES!!( John 15:5)“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. It’s like they’re on a hamster wheel going around and around to nowhere, producing no foreseeable fruit.

We have to run the race that is set before us, removing every weight that is holding us back as it mentions in (Heb. 12:1)

It’s Only with the help of the Holy Spirit, and our Faith, that we will make it to the finish line. Do not fool yourself into believing that you can make it there any other way.

Be Blessed……
