Question? Are you that person running from God? If so, Why? Don’t you know you can’t run from Him, that it’s impossible because He’s Omnipresent?
Why are you running anyways? Is it because sin’s the culprit of your meter race? John 3:20-21New Living Translation (NLT)
20 All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. 21 But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.
That is the ultimate reason why people run from God anyway is because of their love for sin. A lot of times people want to stay away from God because something tragic has happened in their lives and they blame God for it.
Why do people place God on trial when it’s sin 100% of the time that’s to blame for their miseries anyway?
God’s mercy endures forever and we all need to know that God is good
(Psalm 107:1) Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!
His faithful love endures forever.
Jonah ran from God, Why? Because God was calling for him to do something he was afraid to do( I mean come on Nineveh had a tortuous background), but it was all for a reason. God’s not going to put His people in harm’s way without making a way of escape –
If He’s calling you to do something it’s because He has found you able to complete the task at hand.
Jonah feared man more than he feared God for sure…..(Matt.10:28) 28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
I tell you one thing I bet that type of thinking all changed after being in the belly of a whale for 3 days and 3 nights – . Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. You better believe that Jonah realized God was greater than man and that He should be feared over man and that He didn’t take kind to disobedience (1Sam15:23)- Rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft,
and stubbornness as bad as worshiping idols.
So because you have rejected the command of the Lord,
he has rejected you as king.”
We need to realize that God created us to run to Him, not from Him. He is a loving God who cares for each of us – (Psa. 145:9) The LORD is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation. (1peter5:7) Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Yes, God created us for Himself, but He also gave all of us free will to make our own choices and it’s a choice we have to make to run to Him when He call us to get saved, or to help someone, or to interceded on one’s behalf, or to go to other countries because He loves those people to – (Colossians. 1:16) For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Our faith in Him pleases Him ( Heb 11:6) But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Our faith in God means more to Him than Gold that will one day perish –
(1 Peter 1:7) These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
Are you a Jonah? are you running nowhere to get nowhere? Because sooner or later you will have to answer His call…..You don’t need to keep running, God is forgiving and He will forgive anyone for anything. There is however one sin that He will not forgive and that is (UNPARDONABLE) and that is (Matt. 12:31) “So I tell you, every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven–except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which will never be forgiven.
If for some reason you are a runner, I just want to let you know that your only destroying yourself because the world will never love you because it hates God. Because of all of its wickedness and sinful pride. John 15:18-19New Living Translation (NLT)
The World’s Hatred
18 “If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first. 19 The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you.
What gets me is how some people think they can shake their fists at an all loving gracious, Honorable God with demands of equality…..That’s what Lucifer’s problem was and the reason for his fall, he wanted to be God – Isaiah 14:14King James Version (KJV)
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
( Isa 14: 12) “How you are fallen from heaven,
O shining star, son of the morning!
You have been thrown down to the earth,
All God wants is for us to obey Him , trust Him, be obedient to Him, allow Him to lead and guide us, comfort us, teach and reprove us and protect us through the Holy Spirit – ( Rom 8:9) 9 But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.)
He is a God that knows every thought before you think it and a God that sits back and awaits your invitation for Him to move on your behalf, so stop running a race that you’ll never win and allow Him to show you how to depend on His promises…….
