Someone asked me a question just recently, that prompted me to allow you all into my ministry….
I was asked “why do I blog?”
And, I have to be honest and tell you, I did not want to do this, yet alone like this....
“Me Jae” be a writer?
okay Lord, you funny….Oh, certainly not me. at least that’s what I thought.
( Jer. 29:11) For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
In 2015 after examining my life before the Lord and wanting more– (2 Corinthians 13:5)
Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.
And, me with my many questions, and much to say on the topic.
The Lord spoke to my heart and said, “start a blog,” and write to My people. ( Heb. 2:2)
And the LORD answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.
Call it the “Host of Angels”, which is also the name He gave us for our Outreach Ministry.
When I first began this journey of blogging I subliminally committed myself to posting something like once a week, or four times a month.
Nothing More!
But, come on, Who was I fooling? Yep! (Myself).
To though I could use this blogging opportunity to open myself up to the World as an outlet for “widdle oh’ me” 😄 Wow! an eye opener for real!
I came to realize real quick, that this blogging ministry was strictly for the glorifying of His kingdom, and for the edification and uplifting of His people. And nothing else! (1 Thes. 5:11)
Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.
Starting this blog to me, was like having an online ministry that I had no one to show me the ropes about the (How To).
But wait! I had the Holy Spirit….( John, 14:26)But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
I stepped out in faith, and did all that God told me to do in obedience. By doing my best to honor Him.
Even while, still in the process of feeling as though I was out of my element. At that moment I felt like Moses in (Exo.4:12-13)I will be with you when you speak. I will give you the words to say.” But Moses said, “My Lord, I beg you to send (use) someone else, not me.”(emphases added)
I pushed on…
My obedience to His word of what He wanted me to do, brought me to Him faithfully in faith, so He could be the One to equip me in every way and with every message.( Luke. 12:12)
for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.”
Not knowing, that this already prearranged assignment, was so much more than a blog, and so much more than an outlet, but a ministry.
God really had me thinking “ok, now” what are you doing?
( prov.3:5)Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
I can remember a year prior. God telling me, that I would be responsible for the inside stuff, and my husband would be responsible for the outside stuff, but never knowing He meant this.
But today I do see and understand what He was talking about. That “stuff” was ministry…..
A ministry I would have never known I had in me, or that He placed in me from the beginning without seeking Him.( Jer. 29:13)You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
Trust me, when I say that being responsible for a writing ministry or any ministry for that matter, is a daily sacrifice, It Is!!(Mark 10:45
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Why do I say it’s a sacrifice? Because it’s the (in)pouring of God to me and what He wants spoken, & the (out)pouring of it all to you.
Your being given a frontline seat to all of the ( nuckets, promptings, and revelation up close and personal.…
All the Spiritual Gifts, Talents, and Resources He’s placed in me for you….for Him to get the Glory and to feed His people.
I know that the ministry God gave me and placed me in long before I was thought of, isn’t at all about me, or for my glorification. But all about Christ and His name being lifted up on high.(Psalm 148:13)
Let them praise the name of the Lord, for his name alone is exalted; his splendor is above the earth and the heavens.
It is truly His platform being built up on the messages He chooses to give me to speak about.
The goal I see of this online ministry is to touch hearts and minds and to draw them closer to Him for their sakes on a platform belonging to Him and for Him alone – (Philippians 3:8)
Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ.
So can blogging really be a ministry? Absolutely!!
because God can use every detail in one’s life to proclaim Himself.
Also, because there are many examples online that teaches the truth about God and His word.
As long as the truth is being pointed out, and the accuracy of God’s Word is feeding the people, All Is Well!!
Be Blessed…………(empowered to prosper)
