Come on people we have got to demonstrate the God kind of Love…
The God kind of Love is not supposed to hurt, is not supposed to abandon, is not supposed to turn its back, or stab a friend in the back ( okay maybe Judas)
The kind of Love being demonstrated out in theses streets today is the furthest thing from who I know my God to be and that is Love.
Folks, I am going to keep it real……I’m so tired of being tired of people using that 4 letter word Love and don’t have a clue of what the true meaning of it is or what they’re really saying. People just use that word as a convenience it seems like. Just because it sounds good or because you’re supposed to say it….give me a break…..If you don’t truly sincerely mean it why say it?
You hear people say it all the time “I LOVE YOU” but behind those 8 letters and 3 words packs a lot of meaning and not the meaning you’re using it for.
{TRUST AND BELIEVE…IF I SAY IT, I MEAN IT} One’s Love is not supposed to be based on how they treat you or not treat you, it’s not supposed to be based on what they have done or have not done for you….NO, none of that people.
Tell me what is true, real authentic Love? Do any of you even know? Do you even care? WELL, I do and I want to make sure it’s visible in me at all times towards everybody even those that do not like me, and so should you…..I’m not saying it’s going to be easy but it can be done without hesitation, murmuring or complaining.
I’m not saying you are Jesus but shoot He said it in His word that we can in John 15:12 – This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have Loved you. If He said we can do it,it can be done………we stand in our own way to demonstrate it because Loving someone who is hard to Love is SACRIFICE………..ponder on that………… yeah, I said it sacrifice…..sacrifice of self, laying all of who you are or who you think you are to the side so God can get the glory…
Some might say mannnnnnnn, she going in….
I bring up this Love topic because I have seen, heard and been touched by the many kinds of worldly Love that come in so many varieties…..(for real talk) Can’t you as a Christian feel the Love when it is genuine? I mean I know that Love is not a feeling but it can be felt when it is true, real……It’s that inner man letting you know that the connection and the experience you’re going through at that moment is for real and there is nothing phony about it (why) because the one we honor has taught us by experience……..REAL TALK…..
Worldly Love looks nothing like God’s Love absolutely nothing at all. Worldly Love has conditions ( think I’m playing do something that the person who just told you they love you don’t like and watch what I tell you) come on don’t act like you’ve never experienced it before because I will call you a fibber through the screen (LOL) .
Come on if Jesus had it happen to Him what makes you holier than thou? Luke 22:34

Like I said, that world kind of Love has conditions, but God’s Love is unconditional it’s the only thing that teaches us to Love as He Loved us first.
Yes, God wants His people to live a certain way but it’s not based on if you Love me and, if you don’t then I don’t. No, God Loves us in spite of…As Brother Ken would say “He can’t help it” He doesn’t know how not to Love us.
Does He want you to live outside of His will (No) why? Because it’ll bring consequences, Does He want you going around cussing (No) why? Because He wants your mouth to be a mouth of praise, Does He want you to boast and brag (ONLY IN HIM) anything else (NO) why? Because you glorify yourself and not Him.
(Yes, and the list goes on)
The world says Love is about how someone makes them feel or how they feel about someone else, God says that Love is about others. The Church today needs to know what real Love is because most don’t.
Did I just hear you say “it’s impossible to Love as God does? WRONG…because as I showed you earlier the word says otherwise. Comments like the one above usually come from people who don’t obey God anyway. Those who are listening to the lies of the enemy and those who tried and are still trying to Love in their own strength.
The Love of Jesus is possible to demonstrate today but people just cannot do it without being in close relationship with Him. To have His kind of Love you have to be connected to that Love you’re trying to become. Loving like Jesus is possible because it was one of His commands in Mark. 12:30-31. He said to Love God first. If we can Love Him first we can be filled with His Love and in return you won’t have a problem Loving those in your house and those that are not.
To Love yourself first goes against the word of God and is self-centered which is not an attribute of Love ( 1 Cor. 13:4) It does not parade itself…… If a person does not Love themselves it’s because they do not believe in the Love that God has for them and they don’t Love Him first. Loving God teaches you to Love self and others as He does.
The world’s definition of Love is a deep, tender feeling of affection towards another person, an emotional attachment towards a person, a feeling of desire and attraction towards a person with whom you want to romance as well as have sexual relations with ( come on let’s keep it 100).
God’s definition of Love is in the chapter of 1 Cor. 13 (read it please)
One thing I know after many years of sitting, hearing, meditating and learning more about Him and the Love He wants us to have is not that.
Love’s not a feeling, emotions, attraction, having relations or liking someone. All of those things are temporal and are subject to change like the directions of the wind, but Gods Love is Character, His character…God’s Love is JESUS.
Do you see how when Love pertaining to the world is defined it’s attached to the way one feels (their emotions)which is not Love at all, God’s Love is based on Character His character and how we treat others with Love is that demonstration that comes from Jesus, our demonstrator,Our want to……..
I would rather someone treat me with kindness, respect, humility and patience rather than solely on similarities, benefits, and sexual attraction. Love is what we do because of God, not what we feel.
I’ll take the God kind of Love any day over this worlds because Gods Love has standards, something I can build a strong foundation on.
Let’s just be mindful of what 1 Cor. 13 says concerning Love, that it is
- Patient
- Kind
- Happy for others
- Humble, not boastful
- Supportive and considerate
- Polite and courteous
- Slow to anger, not easily provoked
- Forgiving and keeps no records of wrongs
- Does not lie, truthful in all things even if it hurts
- Covers another’s faults and does not gossip about it
