I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH THANK YOU'S

COME ON…JUST BE THANKFUL!

Don’t you know you have so much to be thankful for? Don’t you know you woke up this morning with the breath of life in your body? Can’t you be thankful for that?

The word says, 1 Thessalonians 5:18      In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Hopefully, when you got in the Father’s presence today you entered into His gates with thanksgiving?  Psalm 100:4   Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

We can find so much to complain about but not think about  in that thing your finding fault in, you can try to find the good in it also.

Like the word above says…..In EVERYTHING give thanks, so yes, even in your mess.

Our world is full of opportunities for greatness, unconditional love, and kindness towards others…Can we find thankfulness in that at least?

Every day presents us with moments that we can make a difference with ourselves and others, and that difference is walking in love towards everyone. I can speak on this thing called LOVE till I am blue in the face, but we must realize it’s what makes everything else better even our Thankfulness.

Those complainers, You know who they are. When you see them coming you sigh and wish you could head in the opposite direction ( That’s not LOVE)  You know they are going to drain you of strength and bring clouds into the sunshine of your day. They are complainers. Their philosophy is simple, “It pays to complain”. Complaining robs you of your joy. Philippians 2:14    Do everything without complaining and arguing,

If we tell ourselves the truth and look at our situation realistically, our perspective will change and our complaining will lessen if we try to find the good in it.

We must realize that our complaining is against the Lord, not men. In Exodus 17:2 Moses says to the people, “Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you put the Lord to the test?”  Moses points out to the people who are complaining that their complaint is really not with him . .. it is with the Lord.

They were saying they were unhappy with the way the Lord was doing His job when they couldn’t even give thanks for what He was doing for them. All they wanted to do is find fault.

When we grumble we need to remind ourselves that our complaint is more often really against the Lord, because in everything there is also good, and it can always be worse.

When we are unhappy about our circumstances we say (God should have treated me better) when we are unhappy with what we have we say(God hasn’t provided well enough), when we are unhappy with certain people or situations we say(God should have made them differently). It’s always what God could have or should have done while we should be looking at how ungrateful we are being.

SO CAN WE ALL STOP WHAT WE ARE DOING RIGHT NOW AND JUST LIFT UP OUR HANDS TO OUR AWESOME, LOVING, CARING FATHER AND SAY THANK YOU?

How dare we complain against the Almighty One who gave us life.  How ungrateful are we to complain to the One who saved us by His grace.

Rather than complaining in the hard times (and let’s not pretend that we don’t have them) we should be turning to the Lord for His strength to face what He has seen fit to bring into our lives for one reason or another. Our strength does come from Him – Psalm 28:7

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.

And, as I was last reminded and you should be too, that we can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth us – Philippians 4:13 and that includes being thankful more and complaining less.

BE BLESSED……..(EMPOWERED TO PROSPER)
