Hebrews 12:14-15
14 Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. 15 See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.
So yes, it is possible for someone who is saved to fall from the Grace of God….
To fall from the Grace of God means that you have falling back into the operation of the law and the works of the law. To fall from Grace means that you have moved from being God dependent back to being self-dependent
It says in that scripture we looked at that those that fall from Grace won’t see the Lord (why) because they’re no longer looking to Jesus for His dependency but rather to self for self dependency
Let’s just think about that for a minute to fall from the Grace of God means that your eyes are no longer on Him for anything but now your eyes are on you like they were before you got saved ( when you thought you could do it without Him and the devil had you thinking that you had it all under control)
Just to think about that is horrifying….just to know that the devil had those type of reigns on you and nothing could be done about it and you just thinking that it was the right thing to do until…..you learned different right, and correct in knowing that your way was not and is not the right way.
Do you even know what it means to be operating under the law?
It is when you perform actions which are done to get something from God…working to get something from Him…..having to do good in order to get good from Him…come on ” that is works 100%”.
Hebrews 6:4 says that
4 It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age 6 and who have fallen[c] away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.
Don’t you know that the works of the law are equal to dead works
Hebrews 9:14
14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death,[a] so that we may serve the living God!
they are the same because they are based in self performance…it totally ignores what Jesus has done for us.
I have to be honest…just to even form that thought of turning back gives me heart computations because knowing that Jesus went through all that He did for me and me turning back as to say it meant nothing is like me killing myself all over again living for this world…….sorry, can’t and won’t……..
Be Blessed…………( empowered to prosper and have good success)
