It’s what God gave you time for and structured your body for. To be able to carry a child for 9 months and that child gets all that it needs while in your womb…. That is nobody but GOD……. He formed our very essence to be mothers……….
A mother is full of great things…from her lips to her hips…from her walk to her talk. God created us with purpose, cause and substance. Yes, our hands are full. Full of good things!” to lead guide and teach in a way they will not depart from when they grow older.
Our children know us just as good as we know them. They know when we are saving face to a stranger we just met, they know how we go to bat for them defending their life and their self- worth with a smile, a nod, a one of a kind love, and an absolute loyalty. Motherhood requires both kindness and discipline. To be a Christian mother places on you a great deal of tension only managed by prayer. This is so because we must be kind, but still uphold biblical expectations, and a mother must know when to let go of the children she nurtured.
I’m sure most Christian mothers can stand in agreement that it’s difficult to balance the motherly instinct to protect your child / children from harm with the worlds way to equip the child for life as an adult without Christ being the center.
I say that because no mother was born a follower of Christ, we had to make a decision to do so but, before that decision our decision was our own without Gods input, and that is the difference we get to walk in and live as a Christian mother today.
Mothers are reminded to train their children — Titus 2:4
Have affection for them, to approve of them, and yes’ even like them, no matter what, and to have a kind attitude towards them. At the same time, a mother is to train her children to live Godly lives – Psalm 78:56 and to learn how they, personally, can contribute to God’s kingdom. Proverbs 22:6
A Christian mother lives the gospel and sacrifice for their children in places that only they will know about. She grows them up in the peaceful air of gospel living.
Mothers’ Your testimony to the gospel is more valuable to them than you can imagine.
If you teach them the gospel, but not live it yourself, they will never believe it.
Remember God created you with a purpose called Motherhood……. That is a work all in itself…wouldn’t you say? (why) because it never ends.
Being a mother never ends, it never stops, whether near or far, that child or children are and will always be at the forefront of your mind, regardless if they are living right or not. As mothers, it’s our job and duty to pray for them young or old.
The only thing we can do is set the example and not just any example but a God – fearing example to where they grow up and want to be better and grind harder for God than you.
So, to all the mothers out there…. HAPPY MOTHERS’ DAY……
