When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying,Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them,But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him,Blessed art thou, Simon Bar–jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 16:13-17
Just like Jesus wanted to know from His disciples, “Who do you say that I AM” ?
With just a little twist, and I want you to be involved with the question that I am about to ask you. Who do you say you are? Who are you? Do you know who you are?
Well, let me be the first to answer that same question to myself since I want to know your response…….It’s only fair right?
Ok, let me first start out by telling you that my name is Janet (AKA) Jae or Sunshine to some……..oh, yeah my husband calls me Buttercup…….Hilarious I know…..
Who is Janet? Jae, who I am to everyone. However! first and foremost. I am a God-fearing woman of God. (I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; please read all of chapter 139 NRSV)
I am more than a conqueror and am here for a specific purpose, that will get accomplished. I might not know it all but, am well-informed on a need to know basis.
I am not perfect in the eyes of man but, to God Himself He told me ” that I was perfect enough for Him”
I live my life speaking words of encouragement and life into those in my life and on my path day in and day out. I never speak to fast when one is seeking my spiritual advice, but listen to the Holy Spirit first (because my words are not my own)
And, most of all…………I am here to be an example for God……In both word(what I speak) and walk(day-to-day for others to see)
So, I ask you, as you have asked me….Who are you? and if you don’t know yet, just say I am learning who I am or I don’t know yet……..I am not here to judge you as I know you are not here to judge me. I will be looking for your response and it’s okay if you want to be anonymous…
