Come on let’s be real with ourselves for a moment. In order for us to be the eyes, ears, hands, and feet of Jesus we must learn to follow His example all the days of our lives.
Jesus faithfully shut down everything first and foremost to be in His Father’s presence while here on earth.
Mark 1:35
35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.
So, if Jesus shut down everything to be before the Father how much more do you think that applies to you today?
Let’s face it people, not even with our most honest well intentioned attempts to do the will of the Father, we know doggone well we cannot, unless we daily remove ourselves from others, and from the cares of the world in order to get ourselves to a place of isolation and solitary, so that we can listen to and hear from the Father above.
we know that we must spend time in His word and open up our hearts to Him with truth in prayer, and stay still long enough to be able to hear what He is telling us.
As Christians we have to find out what He needs from us, and get involved in what He has for us to do, and where He wants us to do it. without that time of sitting and being saturated with instructions you will find yourself doing it all in your own strength and it’ll never stick, last, or be successful. It is only in Jesus will your work for Him soar like an eagle.
Can you find one place in the Bible where Jesus refuses to be of help to anyone or, got aggravated at anyone because His journey to where He was heading got interrupted? No, you can’t, why? because He was all about His Father’s business here on earth. In that alone time, Jesus was given instructions on what He needed to do, where He needed to go, and what he needed to preach, and He did just that.
We read how Jesus traveled from one place to another and people came up to Him in need, in need of healing and oftentimes His disciples would try to shoo them away but Jesus always found time for them (those that crossed His path). For y’all that don’t know, Jesus was truly about relationship. (Matthew 9:35) (Luke 8:1)
It was His choice and decision to stop and offer Mercy to them that seeked Him, by offering healing and a word of love to the one’s seeking Healing. This brings me to us, as the eyes, ears, hands, and feet, of Jesus what do you do when the unexpected shows up? the unplanned? the interruptions? Do you deem them as opportunities to minister God’s word? Do you recognize them as Divine appointments by God? Do you see it as a time to lift and encourage? a time to lay hands? ( if told to) a time to help? what do you do in that moment? that moment after being in the presence of the Lord and being told what to do in that day, what do you do in your role of obedience in what you heard in those moments of solitary? Hopefully be about the Father’s business…
In part 2, I will talk about how we can bring into manifestation being those eyes, ears, hands, and feet, for Jesus here in the earth today.
Be Blessed….
