Some of you may ask yourself, how can I become the eyes and ears for the Lord here in the earth today? I want to get one thing clear and that is this, I know God is all knowing and He sees and hears everything.
I am not saying that He needs us to be His eyes and ears but what I am saying is that it benefits us to the fullest all the way around and this is how.
I know that the eyes of the Lord are upon us every minute of every hour of the day, and I know that He sees everything good, bad, right and wrong, but that does not mean He cannot and will not use us for Himself to be glorified by allowing us to get a look into the spiritual realm of things and not just the physical.
What we as Christians need to remember is that we have 2 sets of eyes and ears….We have eyes to see natural things and spiritual things as well, and that goes for our ears to.
In the spiritual sense of things our eyes and ears are so important because God has equipped all of us to have the ability to recognize the spiritual avenues of hearing and seeing in the spiritual realm for a far better purpose. Hold on! if you’re lost….I promise it will all make sense to you in the end……
Question? Have you ever heard the saying ” That whatever fills your eyes and ears will fill your heart, and what’s in your heart will become your life”?
Well, that is true in both the natural and in the spiritual.
Let’s start with the eyes…..
What I want you to know is this, what you engage with your eyes continually/habitually will eventually invade your spirit (good or bad)…For instance, If you look at a favorite television show once a week for months or years it will consume you (consume you how?) it will soon become your talk and you will look forward to seeing that show whenever it comes on. You will know all of the character by name and who’s doing what etc.etc.(I’m guilty also).
I today want to speak on our spiritual eyes, and yes you do have a pair of them….The only thing though is that you cannot open them on your own, that there is the Holy Spirits job that resides on the inside of you. Viewing something in the natural verses viewing something in the spiritual is totally different (what I mean by that is this)
With you just looking out into the open space you can only see what is before you or a few feet before you right? When your eyes has been open to see into the spiritual real (for whatever reason) it will not look the same(take it from me) your eyes can be opened to see demonic spirits on another person, or one’s home where they abide and if you are not grounded in the Lord it can take you aback. Trust me it is something you have never seen before( unless in a movie) Your eyes can be opened like the servant of Elisha in [ 2 kings. 6:15-17] The servants eyes were open to only see that which surrounded him in the natural, but when his eyes were opened to see in the spiritual he was able to see that the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around them
Your eyes can be opened to see all the thousands and thousands of angels that follow you every day. When your eyes are opened spiritually any fear you have in you will be replaced with faith because nothing else can stand up against it….. definitely not fear.
The word says in [2 Cor. 4:18] “to not look at the things which are seen but at the things which are not seen, for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Only the Lord can remove the veil from our eyes to see and comprehend what’s really being seen in the spiritual realm.
