I look around today and seen just how much people love there existence here on earth, along with their possessions, money, and other things.
They love their stuff more than they do the creator that allowed them to be here to enjoy that “stuff.”
They worship the material things they have, and even praise them for its beauty, and all the hype they’ll receive for having it……
They give those things more praise and glory then they do their creator, God.
I bring this up because it sickens me to a point ….
And most of these are folks you know.
The sad part is, the minute you try and speak spiritually to them about those worldly possessions that shouldn’t mean more to them than the One that places breath in their body’s every day to enjoy those things, they be ready to put you on the side lines, right along with what they don’t believe in….And that is Gods Word!!(what your saying)!!
All I’m saying is this :(Matthew 6:19-21)
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
God Certainly warns us not to emphasize on the collection of material possessions, that we accumulate while we are on earth. They have no permanence – not during our brief stay on earth (where moths and rust will destroy them).
1 Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.
Gods love for us will never be able to be compared to the material things you hold so dear to you, because it will fade away one day, unlike the love of Christ which will remain for eternity..
So, please remember that this earth is not your home but your final destination will be….
