Where does the saying ” God’s ways are mysterious? Or God works in mysterious ways”, come from? People possibly got that saying from this scripture from (Romans 11:33-36 )Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways! For who can know the Lord’s thoughts?Who knows enough to give him advice? And who has given him so much that he needs to pay it back? For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen
Or, maybe this one…
(Isaiah 55:8)“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD.
This scripture is not referring to Believers but the wicked because we are told in His word to put on the mind of Christ (Philippians 2:5)Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus
But, truth be told, that saying is not quoted anywhere in the Bible.
Gods ways should never be mysterious to a believer, no matter how difficult or impossible it is to understand, explain, or identify, because as it says in the Word of God… Ask, Seek, Knock (Matthew 7:7-8)“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
God’s not trying to hide, or keep anything we need to know from us.
He wants us to know Him inside and out ( that’s why He sent Jesus ) and that’s why we have the Holy Spirit, and that’s why we have prayer (to speak in our dialect and. & Spiritual tongues)….
Mysterious really people? (NO!) that word should never come out of your mouth again because of these scriptures;
(Matthew 18:19)Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”
( Mark 11:24Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
(John 14:13-14 )And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
(John 15:7)If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
( John 15:16)Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
(John 16:23-24) At that time you won’t need to ask me for anything. I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and he will grant your request because you use my name. You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.
(James 1:5-6)If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.
(James 1:17)Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.
(1 John 3:22)And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him.
(1 John 5:14-15)And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.
So. let’s remember Believers, that God’s plans, ways, and thoughts are not mysterious to us.
So, if you want to know…..ASK!(Deuteronomy 29:29)The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.
Check this out. …If God could be known in the Old Testament without Jesus yet here or the Holy Spirit. Then don’t you think we can know Him even better today because of Jesus. (John 1:18)says Jesus Christ “has made Him [God] known.
If He has been made known, how can His ways remain mysterious?
As He says in His Word in(Jam 4:8) Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.
Be Blessed….
