seeking Gods peace

Seeking God’s Peace….

Are you one of those that won’t move or step out unless you hear from God to go here, go there, do this, do that?

Well, what if I told you that once you become a mature believer in Him you might not always receive those types of responses, because He wants to see how you will respond when He doesn’t..

Yeah, it may be hard to hear and you’re probably saying ” No not my God, He would never”……. Oh, yes He will.

It’s just like you seeing your child take his/her first step and all they do is fall, after a while you stop helping him/her up because they can do it on their own…..its sorta like that …(Ephesians 4:14-15)

Just know that the peace you are seeking from God before stepping out a lot of times, will not be experienced until after you step out in faith. ( it’s called growth)

Not only that, but waiting for that sense of peace before making a major decision would be numbing spiritually, because what if it turns into a waiting game then what? ( you waiting for God, while He’s waiting for you). Just remember, taking the first step is always going to be vital to experiencing His peace and His blessings.

God’s peace is His grace that rises above our fears, and it allows us to proceed ahead in spite of any doubt.

It’s the Godly faith inside of you that’s going to be the (decide) that pushes you ahead, despite the fear of change.

Any decision you decide will always require prayer and faith, and on top of that it’s going to require a spiritual ear that comes from within, for hearing His voice and receiving His guidance.(Amen)

(Hebrews 5:11-14) We have much to say about this, but it is hard to make it clear to you because you no longer try to understand. In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.

The immature believer goes wherever he or she wants to go, and does what he or she wants to do, but for the mature believer they only go where the Father wants them to go. That’s the difference…..

We must allow Him to become greater, louder, and more real to us than anything in this physical world(John 3:30 )

He must become greater; I must become less.” –

When it comes down to you making a major decision, you need to ask the Lord to give you the grace to walk in holiness so nothing can hinder you from hearing His voice.

Don’t just go into prayer with a routine of quoting 20 scriptures and telling Him what you need, and do all the talking …but actually commune with the Lord and stick around, get quiet, and listen. Listen to what He has to say. And, by all means obey ir as well.

Keep a journal so you can write down everything the Lord has to say to you in those special times.

Sometimes in certain situations like seeking God’s input pertaining to what to do, or seeking His peace in doing so may require fasting.

Even though fasting doesn’t impress God, (BUT YES! ) certainly pleases Him when you do…..( why) because it shows self discipline. when you fast and pray it helps you to overcome your flesh, and it purifies you so that your spiritual ears are more in tune to hearing His voice.

Do you know just how much it honors Him when you show Him with your actions that you want to be closer to Him, more obedient to Him, and striving to walk in a deeper Oneness with Him?

One thing for sure, and that is this, If you want to see things happen in your life, spend more time in prayer and fasting.

The best thing about it all while seeking peace in wanting to know what to do is this….Welcoming the Holy Spirit..

He will reveal God’s Will to your hearts in the midst of His guidance, and He will also speak to you while allowing you to feel His presence and His peace in your life…With you knowing that the Holy Spirit is going to reveal what God wants you to know, He will also tell you whether you are “In” or “out” of God’s Will for your life, while considering the next step

With you knowing that the Holy Spirit is going to reveal what God wants you to know, He will also tell you whether you are “In” or “out” of God’s Will for your life, while considering the next step( John. 16:13) But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

Yes!! though the Word of God promises His peace, ((John 14:27)Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

In all fairness, where does it ever guarantees you peaceful feelings??

Let’s be careful not to allow certain “heart weighers” to keep you from moving forward in your decision like;( other people, money, job, the devil) but let God be the one to weigh your heart (Prov. 21:2)Every man’s way is right in his own eyes, But the Lord weighs and examines the hearts [of people and their motives].

Because the way we think is like this; I believe that if God is speaking to me, I most definitely will have a place of perfect peace”,

where I’ll experience no doubts before moving forward in my decision.

Wrong!!!

God’s peace is the place where His grace will terminate our fears and allow us to move forward in spite of…. Most of the time that peace we’re seeking will not be experienced until after we make that step of faith. 🤷‍♀️

Once we have submitted ourselves to God spiritually, And where there is No (unforgiveness, pride, unconfessed sin, anger or jealousy) we can consider any decision we are making because we are lined up.

If we have examined the decision in light of what the Holy Spirit has revealed to our heart; concerning any Godly counsel; God’s peace; Personal Prophecy; (which is confirmation) then it is only fear that could be holding you back.

Once you are confident that you know God’s will, and you have His peace to move forward, take that step of faith and watch what God will do.

Just like with Peter, when he lifted that foot over the edge of that boat and stepped onto the water in obedience to Jesus call, grace came onto the scene, and just like Peter, God will do whatever it takes to see (His) will accomplished in your life.

Yes, God will protect you, yet while challenging you to grow in your Christian walk.

God will lead you along a path that will fulfill His plans for your life. He is the one who knows the direction you are to follow and will lead you accordingly.

Remember that God is the source of wisdom for all things, so realize that He not only has the answer, but He is the answer. ( Prov. 2:6-15)

Let’s not forget that Faith is the important component to accepting God’s wisdom. You must recognize the fact that God wants to communicate with you.(Proverbs 4:18)

(Proverbs 4:18) says, God’s direction in your decision will become clearer and more distinct as you continue to pray and ask for His help.

You must check any and all decisions against God’s Word (James 3:17-18)

Ask yourself “does your choice line up to the qualifications of God’s wisdom”, (or) are there any outside influences directing your path????

If you keep praying, God’s wisdom will direct your paths in a peaceful manner, because He is the source of all wisdom, and He only views your life from an eternal perspective. This allows Him to become part of your decision–making process and allows Him to guarantee you a lifetime of spiritual success.

This allows Him to become part of your decision–making process and allows Him to guarantee you a lifetime of spiritual success.

Be Blessed…..
