What is obedience to God and His commands???? Do you know what it means to be obedient?
Do you know what it means to be obedient?
Do you know there are benefits to being obedient to God’s Word, both biblical and through the Holy Spirit?

Well being obedient to God’s commands makes it easier for God to provide what we need in our everyday walk with Him, as we seek to do His will…….
It’s literally impossible to come into a close relationship with the Lord, walk in His favor, be blessed, and be in close communion with Him without being obedient to what He says.
No One!! can walk with God without being obedient (point, blank, period)
Let’s focus on the lives of these 2 men for a moment, obedience played a major part in their relationship with God.
(Genesis 5:22-24) “Enoch lived in close fellowship with God”
Enoch, obeyed God’s commands, Enoch, learned all of God’s ways,
Enoch,, cared so much about what God cared about that his life was not his own.
Gods concerns we’re Enoch’s concerns and this made their relationship in his era of time like no other………” Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
Enoch, walked so closely with God that he did not see death. God raptured him up…..yeah, he disappeared.
Ok, how about Noah? Noah stuck out to God. Noah was not like his generation of people and because of that, God spared the life of him and his family.
God was so grieved at the heart and disappointed with His creation and all that He seen in Noah’s time, He felt He had to destroy it (Genesis 6:5-22)
God gave Noah a way of escape, and Noah was obedient and did all that God had spoken…ALL.
So, from those two instances can we say that God’s Favor is attached to Obedience to Him?
There are so many more countless stories in the Bible from………Mary ((who carried Jesus) Luke 1:26-38
Elizabeth ( who carried John the Baptist) Luke 1:12-25
What about the two brothers!! the fishermen, Simon called Peter and Andrew, casting a net into the Sea of Galilee. ( Matthew 4:18-22) (Luke 5:1-11)
Just to name a few…..it also shows that because of their obedience to the Lord and His word there also followed His favor upon their lives…
(Psalms 145:19)
.God shows favor to those who honor him,
listening to their cries for help and saving them.
(John 14:15) If ye love me, ye will keep my commandments.
Once again, It’s so evident that no one can walk with God without being obedient. When we obey the voice of God we show others how His favor and wisdom flows in our life and in return hopefully, they will want to draw near to Him as well…….
While God loves and shows favor to all of His children, it’s pretty clear that only an inherent blessing comes as a result of obedience.
(Psalms 128:1-6)
Be Blessed…….
