Family Alert!!!!!⁉

Are You Who God Wants To Use For Family members…….

Question? Why are we surprised when we get rejected by our own family members when it comes to spreading the Word of God?

Why is it that, we think because we are the one living and walking a life for Christ in our family, that we are going to be the one to lead them to Him?

If we’re being honest, you know the first thing they’re going to say, ( in your face or behind your back) is that, ” now that you’re living for Christ, you think your better than everyone else”……

Trust me!! Been there

experienced that!

Listen, I know how important it is to share our faith with family and friends, but I also know that we can’t go around thinking that we have to be the one to lead them to the Lord.

The truth is, God may not use you for any of your family members!!

Do you really think Jesus wasn’t rejected by family, other than his brothers? So, why would it surprise you when you’re rejected by family members…… (John 1:11) He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. ( Matthew 10:22)And you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

Jesus had well prepared his disciples for what they would go through when they would face rejection, because He knew there was going to be no getting away from it….

Jesus knew they would be rejected by friends and family. And He knew exactly how He wanted them to handle it…

Jesus told them to “shake off the dust that is on your feet” (Mark 6:11)But if any place refuses to welcome you or listen to you, shake its dust from your feet as you leave to show that you have abandoned those people to their fate.”And – (Matthew 10:14) And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. And ( Luke 9:5)And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.

Think about it like this; It wasn’t an Aunt, Uncle, Brother, or Sister who brought Saul to Jesus…

Nor!! did it go down like that with the (Eunuch)who was coming from the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza.

Nope!! it was a complete stranger, sent by God…. please read (Acts 8:26-40)

Look, if you haven’t been through this yet, you will. I’m sure of it.

We’ve all been there.

We go to speak to someone we care about concerning Jesus, with clarity and love, but they refuse to hear what you’re saying about Christ.

You know all you can do is plant the seed, and allow God to do the watering, because no matter how much you talk, or what you show them in the Word of God, they still have to be the one to submit, surrender, and repent.

So, what do you do when you have family members that don’t want to hear “that Jesus talk?”

Pray for them. Pray for them by name.

Plead with God to touch their hearts, so they would give Him their life.

Ask the Father to do whatever it takes to bring them to a saving knowledge of Himself.

If you know you’ve done all you can in Jesus power, with your family and friends, and you see no change, back off...

They know where you stand. They know what language your talking…..Jesus….

So now, It’s time to be quiet and pray.

And remember that backing off a little, from talking about Jesus, and their Salvation, doesn’t mean you have to ignore them, or cut them out of your life.

No, don’t ever do that…just respect them and their space and let them come to you. Because trust me, when they need prayer, you’ll be the first one they call!

You can still be around them without constantly speaking on their spiritual state.

Don’t Condemn Them!!

We all started somewhere!!

Like I mentioned in my recent post (How Do You Handle Rejection), in it I talked about how we can’t dictate how other people will respond, but only how we share the message of Jesus

We’re only accountable for sharing, not for the results. Please remember that (Matthew

28:19-20)Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit ,and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

God has many messengers, and it’s not always going to be you….

When you are not being victorious in leading a friend, family member, or co- worker to Christ, don’t feel like you failed.

Just pray that God will find someone else to use, or that He’ll use another avenue to get the Gospel to those you couldn’t…..no matter the amount of time …

You have to remember that no matter what, they still have freedom of choice. And God will never force Himself on anyone…Not to know Him. Not to love Him. And, not to obey Him – And neither should you!

Be Blessed….
