Well, that’s not the kind of rest I’m talking about.
When you hear the word (rest) do you think about, having your feet kicked up and just chilling?
I’m speaking of (resting) in God. that one of a kind peace that only God gives to those who love and obey Him regardless of their circumstances.
True (rest) is when you can lay a thing down at His feet, not picking it back up.
And knowing He is at work on your behalf at all cost.(1 Peter 5:7) Leave all your worries with him, because he cares for you. (Jeremiah 29:11)For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
(Resting) in God is when you don’t take thought of that certain thing over and over again, trying to figure out how you can interject.
Nope, it’s when you’re at your most peaceful inwardly with nothing on your mind other than praise and thanks!! ( Psalm 86:12) I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever.
True (Rest)… my people in Christ is….. Faith.
Did y’all know that?
When we (rest), we see His best (why) because we are letting Him know that we trust Him…. (Hebrews 4:3) For only we who believe can enter his rest.
when we lean on God and not unto our own understanding, we actually enter into His rest and can enjoy our lives, no matter what our circumstances may be.( Hebrews 4:3) For we who have believed enter that rest. (Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Listen, you are not (resting) in God when you’re trying to believe…
what is that, trying to believe??
Trying to believe is when your in activation of two mind sets…..you believe one minute and then when you don’t see anything happening fast enough you switch gears over to the mindset where you tell yourself “okay, it’s not going to happen”, and you go back and forth with that type of thinking.
That’s trying to believe, You meditate on the problem—rolling it over and over in your mind, worrying about it, trying to figure out the (how) about thing. And remember, without faith it is impossible to please Him (Hebrews 11:6) And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Whether you know it or not, It’s like you saying to God…..“God, I think You need my help, and I don’t trust you to take care of the situation.”
Yeah, pretty much that’s what you’re saying……(Acts 17:25)He doesn’t need help from anyone. He gives life, breath, and everything else to all people.
That type of thinking doesn’t allow you to enter God’s (rest).
it’s only when you believe, and ride on your faith, is when you have complete (rest) in Him.
Trusting God and entering into that (rest) means your giving up all the worrying, all the reasoning, and that double mindset… It’s all being kicked to the side, which then allows you to enter into His (rest) with trust and faith…….
Living By Faith Is Spiritual (rest). And it’s available for every area of your life.
Entering God’s (rest) is not through labor, performance, or effort, but (faith). Just having that trust – belief – and faith in God, is the simplest key to a life of God’s (rest).
True (rest) is letting God do what He does, And that’s what you can’t. (Matthew 11:28) Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
We as believers must make the decision to enter His (rest) daily.
This (rest) isn’t something you should want to turn on and off.
This (rest) should be the one thing you want to experience every day, and in every situation because it’s available to us everyday.
But, you must believe that by faith, that it is available to you, because you cannot enter it any other way.
And trust me! there’s no faking the (rest) of God.
The (rest) of God can be seen all over you as a believer.
It’s not only your position, but also your stance, and if you think it can’t be seen, you have another thing coming. (Philippians 4:7)Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
The same way stress, worry, and down-trodden-ness can be seen….. God’s (rest) can be also.
You as a believer cannot pretend you have God’s (rest) when you really don’t.
Its one of those things that shows up on you like faith……and screams out to the World…..God and I, are One!!!
Be Blessed….
