I have a question for all of you that quote and believe that saying “GOD WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS”….
Where exactly did that come from, and why do you believe it?
Yes, God’s ways are higher, but mysterious….not in the least
(Isaiah 55:8-9) “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord . “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.
And, that still doesn’t say His ways are (difficult or impossible to understand, explain, or identify)which is the definition for MYSTERIOUS…..
But Wait… Didn’t you know, that God’s ways are not mysterious to those that know Him, but only to those that don’t??(1 Corinthians 2:14) The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.
God does not hide His Word from us in any way, and He does not lie to us about anything.
He does not play those types of games. He is an open book if you read (Red)it, you would know that….. (John 1:1)In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
( vs.14)And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
To be honest, If anything, He wants us to know His ways and learn His ways so we can mimic them and become more like Him.
If anyone’s supposed to hide His Word, it’s you… ( Psalms 119:11)I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Yeah, that’s right…..in your heart.
Just as the Apostle Paul wrote in (2 Corinthians 3:3 ) “Clearly, you are a letter from Christ showing the result of our ministry among you. This “letter” is written not with pen and ink, but with the Spirit of the living God. It is carved not on tablets of stone, but on human hearts.
Living a life for Christ you
become that letter, that written epistle, that open book for others to read (Jeremiah 31:33) “But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel after those days,” says the Lord . “I will put my instructions deep within them, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
God wants all of His creation to know Him, and become personable with Him, but He also wants you to seek Him as if you do. (Luke 11:9) So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
How else do you grow a personal intimate relationship with anyone? Right you learn the person by spending time with them and learning them, in order to become friends with them. And No, you can’t do this through someone else’s relationship with Him. It has to be personal. (James 4:8) Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
Listen, we are commanded to 1st love God, but how can you love someone you don’t know on a personal level? the more you come to know Him, the more you come to know what real, true, authentic, love is because He is LOVE(Mark 12:30) “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.
I mean come on… Jesus did say in the Word of God to Ask, Seek & Knock. (Matthew 7:8) For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
So, to all of you out there that continues to quote that saying, (spoken from Lord knows who)….just know that, the only reason you are unknowledgeable about God is because you have no relationship with Him.
He is not a withholder, and He does not hide things from us.
If we ask according to His Will and with a pure heart He hears us and He responds. ( I John 5:14-15 ) Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
The only reason why Gods ways are mysterious to anyone, is because they do not have a relationship with Him.
No, God isn’t going to reveal and make for public notice what His plans are, especially not to those that are not in His Word(1 Samuel 3:21) And the Lord continued to appear in Shiloh, for the Lord revealed Himself to Samuel in Shiloh through the word of the Lord.
God reveals Himself to us through His Word so you and I do not fall into error or confusion.
His mission for His children is to not become spiritually abused with false information by other doctrine (1Timothy 4:1)The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.
We have to be on “Team Jesus”, and abide in Him for Him, to even begin to share His goodness of what’s to come with us…..(John 15:7 )If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
I find it funny how most people say “ yeah, I was brought up in Church” and “yeah, I sang in the Chior” or “ yeah, I helped with some type of ministry in the Church” ( which makes them think they have a relationship with Christ).
But, truth be told…..that could have been you then, but where are you now?
There’s a big difference between knowing God and knowing (of )God.
If you have not gotten to know Him by spending time with Him, how can you say you know Him? .….
If you have not entered into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through faith, you don’t know God or have a relationship with Him because Jesus is the ONLY way to God.
( John 14:6)Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
God wants us not only to know Him through faith in Jesus, but also through a personal connection as well.(John 14:7)
If you really know me, you will know my Father as well.
Honestly ask yourself “ has the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, made it from your head to your heart??? To where you can say with an honest heart this scripture right here
( Galatians 2:20 ) I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
If you can say “YES”, why would you think a good, loving, God that sent His only begotten son to die for you, would want to hide anything from you????
Ponder on for a minute, what the word mysterious really means..
