Wilderness Thinking

Understanding What Wilderness Is….

There are 2 kinds of Wilderness types we’ll be gaining an understanding about in this blog post, so there’ll be no confusion going forward.

Wilderness #1This wilderness type is the place people considers a Desert (wil·der·ness)
an uncultivated, uninhabited, and inhospitable region.

Wilderness; This common Hebrew word refers often to a wild field where domestic animals may be grazed and wild animals live, in contrast to cultivated land, hence, sometimes “the pastures of the wilderness” (Joel 1:19–20). …

Wilderness #2
This type of wilderness is your mindset ( your psyche, your frame of mind, your way of thinking).

The Wilderness of your mind is what we’ll be focusing on in part 1 & 2 of this blog post…

: Concerning how one finds themselves there. In that state of mind…

: Who’s responsible for that type of mindset.

: And, how to break free from that mindset….

Did you know that your mind is the only place where your enemy (Satan / Devil) can get you bound and hold you captive? It all starts in the mind ( Ephesians 6:11)

Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

Did you know that your mind is the only place where Satan can plant seeds of suggestion, deception, and un-Godly thoughts to create strongholds, and to take control over your life?(2 Cor. ‬3‭-‬5)

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

And, the only decision you need to make, is to either fight like “HELL” to be set free, or continue to allow Satan to have a field day there(Psalms 44:5)

Only by your power can we push back our enemies; only in your name can we trample our foes.

A field day in your mind with all kinds of negative thoughts, bad ideas, and unsolicited suggestions. Like he did in the Garden of Eden(Gen. 3:1,4)

“Did God really say?

“You will not certainly die..

His field day with your mind is him feeding you anything and everything that goes against God, dishonors God, and rebels against God…

Satan’s only goal is to lie and deceive you with all types of lies and manipulation to no end, to keep you far away from God.

If you’ve found yourself in a state that you don’t like, or don’t want to be in anymore, but can’t seem to get out, or change by holding on to God’s Word, most likely you are living in a wilderness mindset.

When your way of thinking is going every which way but right. BEWARE! When your thinking is unlike the norm BEWARE! Wilderness mindset had set in..

( Ephesians 6:13)Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

If your mind is continually being bombarded with negative thoughts, bad feelings, evil like tendencies, and its keeping you from moving forward to do good, It’s a “Wilderness Mindset”(Ephesians 6:17)And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

When you find yourself in this state of mind, just know it has been permitted for one reason or another, if you are a Believer in Christ and it can be overcome with the Word of God and only the Word of God…(Psalm 119:105)

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

-Has the Devil been telling you that God doesn’t love you, or that He doesn’t exist?

– Has the Devil been telling you, your better off doing it by yourself cause you’re all you have?

– Has the Devil been making you feel bad about yourself?

– Has the Devil been placing the same thought in your mind over and over again, and now you think it’s your own?

– Has the Devil been telling you that all you need is your money, job, or vices?

Which ever way It’s coming to you, its all by the way the enemy invading your mind!!

You got it… A Wilderness Mindset!! A mindset that will only lead you to the grave and far away from the Father..

This is a mindset God did not give you, nor wants you to have.(James 14:27)“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

However, He will allow it…. like He did with Jesus….And, Jesus was the perfect example of how you can overcome it!!

Jesus was led by the Spirit to the wilderness. (Mathew 4:2-11) Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

Jesus 40 day wilderness journey was an intentional one. To teach us something!

Christ was led into the wilderness after being filled with the Holy Spirit. How could His leading not be intentional? He is our example that we too can also defeat the wilderness mindset as well.

He showed us how to do it. All we have to do is follow His example by beating Satan upside the head with what God has placed on the inside of us, and that is His Word, His promises, His Armour ……

Christ went through the wilderness to let us see that it could It can be conquered. If Christ conquered the wilderness — so can you.
(Luke 4:13 )And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season…

Be Blessed…
