(2 Chronicles 7:14) If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.
Only a surrendered heart will choose to crave the things of God.
Like God says in the scripture above” If They will humble themselves without thought, pray continually until something is done, seek Him diligently without fail, require Him mandatorily like nothing else, and turn from their wickedness, He will forgive you!!!
God wants us to love Him like no other, seek Him like no one else, and
want Him like the breath we need…
He wants us to (crave) Him and be sincere about it (Psa.139:23)
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
He created us to (crave) Him!!
He wants you to do all that’s spoken of in (2.Chron) in obedience, then you do more in the World, in sin.
Okay, “But How, how do I do that?”
Surrender your entire life to Him and ( Crave) Him above all.
Your love for Him must become first place. How does that happen? By becoming reconnected to Him through Salvation (Romans 5:10)
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
So Yes! Your love for Him has to come from a place of His(Agape) and be even greater than the love you have for your family(Philia)…
He wants you to seek Him and come after Him like, wind to a burning fire (Heb.12:29)For also, our God is a consuming fire.
And, you do that by reading and studying His Word (the Bible) , by worshiping and praising Him, and by prayer and obedience.
The more of Him you seek after, will be the more of Him you get to know, and the more of Him you get to know, will be the more of Him you’ll want to know(Jeremiah 9:24)
But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the Lord who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the Lord, have spoken!
Let your hunger and thirst for Him outweigh the desire and the love you have for the things of this world.
(Matthew 5:6) declares, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”
It’s sorta like this..well, let’s scratch that, it’s really like this….
Become so hungry and thirsty for God, to the point where without Him you become weak, and even after eating that spiritual food you still want more, just push through and keep at it because eventually, you’ll become so full that you’ll be amazed at how fulfilling He becomes to you! (Psalm 34:8 )O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
Don’t you know that what you consume the most of, is what you will eventually become? (Matthew 6:21) Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.
Let the Word of God and everything about Him and His ways of doing things become spiritual food to you, morning, noon, and night(Jeremiah 15:16)
Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.
Let that taste become so acquired to you that you find yourself not being able to live without it…. Let the taste of it become like honey…. (Psalm 119:103) How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
Look, is it fair to say, that before we learned to care for anyone else we were taught to care for self? We held first place in our own lives, and in our own eyes……
Being born into this Earth, we are taught to survive by….. living for self, fulfilling for self, and promoting for self(2 Timothy 3:2-4)
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
So we grow up in life thinking we know better than God our Creator, about what’s good for us. (LIES, I Say LIES)!!
And, all the while we’re thinking like this, we don’t place God any where in our lives.(Romans 12:3)
Because of the grace that God gave me, I can say to each one of you: don’t think of yourself more highly than you ought to think. Instead, be reasonable since God has measured out a portion of faith to each one of you.
And so, we find ourselfs running from one thing to the next trying to find that certain something we think’s missing which isn’t missing at all.
He’s just waiting for us to make the reconciliation to Him through His Son Jesus Christ….(John 14:6)Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
It’s Only until we are reconnected to God that we then become Christ- Seeker’s and God Lover’s, to find out we no longer hold that first place trophy, but that, that position goes to the One we’re seeking, God the Father….
And let’s remember that – that first place trophy you no longer hold, gets handed over completely! not just in one area but in all!!
Okay, so how can I get here? what’s the process, what’s the formula?
Here comes that word again ( CRAVE).. Have you ever craved something you wanted so bad that it wouldn’t go away until you got it? Well, that’s how this works…
Get up, thank Him and praise Him for another day in prayer….
Grab your Word ( book – phone – or labtop)….
Ask Him to lead you in His Word….
Be ready to allow Him to lead you to particular scriptures and also to explain them to you for the correct understanding….
Make sure you have pen and pad along side( for increase revelation that He wants you to know)…
Sit quietly before Him after you have finished your study( with quietness, to hear from Him more)….If He chooses to speak.
And, please remember this is all a heart, mind, spirit connection.
And if you have no clue as in how to hear spiritually, ASK Him to give you a ear to hear. That ear resides in your ( H ear T)….
I think (Psalm 34:8) is fitting, “Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man that takes refuge in Him
The additional answer is this… if you partake more of God, you will possess more of His goodness.
And, when you begin to understand more about our “Awesome God,” your faith will start to increase more and more, and the
hope you hold onto will become so well established in Him, you’ll be able to say with a clean heart,(Psalm 119:103) “How sweet are Your words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth!”
And this is what the ending results look like….. an increased desire for more!
This is the type of (craving) He wants from you! Yeah, that Holy Spirit, God chasing, God seeking, one of a kind (craving)!!
That type of (craving) you wake up to looking to devour, cause you are hungry to see what God is going to show you today, speak to you today, enlighten you on today, in your daily study. (2 Tim. 2:15)
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
This is all He wants, is for you to CRAVE HIM and to put HIM first place!
(Psalm 107:9)“For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things.”
Be Blessed….
