The Anointing of God is His Holy Spirit, given to operate through people to demonstrate His love and power.
Let’s be realistic folks… if God has Anointed us with all that He operates in, that also means that He has equipped us for every good work He’s assigned us to,
like resist the devil and all works of evil, (and)
to know the truth that will always set us free ( His Word), and
to be able to go out into the world and preach His word ( Mark. 16:15).And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, (and)
to be able to pray, not only to God for ourselves, but for others as well…..( Jam. 5:16)Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
And!! last but not least…..
to have fellowship with the Father
( 1 John. 1:3) We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and his Son, Jesus Christ……how can we do anything in Jesus name without having fellowship with the Father? IMPOSSIBLE!!
Do you know what this Anointing power means for us today, as well as for those in the Old Testament???
Do you even know what it means to be Anointed by God?
Well, just let me explain it to you this way……..
The Prophets were Anointed then and now, in order to be able to proclaim God’s word.
The Priests also had to be Anointed in the Old Testament to be able to be the only one to go before the Father on others behalf and not die
Kings were Anointed to hear and know what God was saying, as how to execute and win the victory……It sure wasn’t Satan talking to them, ….
Certain people were Anointed to hear God’s Word and relay it to those that didn’t hear from Him, or those that did hear, but didn’t obey…So, God would send Word to warn them of what was going to happen “if”…….
The Anointing of God was only given for a purpose then, and is only given for a purpose now, and that purpose is …
To proclaim, worship, sacrifice, rule, and heal…..
Check this out…..Even though, Jesus was who He was in all His Glory, He still needed to be Anointed, so that He could carry out His ministry here In this earth…(Luke 4:18-19,
Jesus quoted from Isaiah 61:1-2)”The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has Anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor…..
The main reason that Jesus had to be baptized was so His ministry could begin and, so He could enter into the priesthood of Melchizedek and become the High Priest, and the Holy Sacrifice for us all!!
If Jesus needed to be Anointed and washed in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and He was already the Anointed One of God, then honey, you will too!!
Jesus said that He would SEND the Holy Spirit who would teach us all things (John 14:26) it was His Spirit, the one that resided on the inside of Him when He was in the earth(that was the Spirit He was speaking about.) He could only send the Holy Spirit back to us only once He no longer needed Him here in the earth.
This is why He said “I will send Him”…… ( Did Y’all get that?)He resided on the inside of Him!!
Being Anointed by God with the Holy Spirit meant a lot.It meant you had been Anointed for a cause and,
It meant you had been Anointed for a cause and, that you’ve been Enabled, Entrusted, and Empowered to accomplish His will, not your own…..
This Anointing of God allows you to….
Discern truth – 1 John 2:27.
Testify of the truth – 1 John 5:6
To pray – Rom. 8:39 “and Ephesians 6:18 which says, “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. . . “
Live a righteous life – Romans 8:4
Be strengthened with power in your inner being – Ephesians 3:16
Be led by God – Romans 8:9
Live in joy – Romans 14:17
Live in hope – Romans 15:13
Receive spiritual gifts – 1 Corinthians 12:4 “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.”1 Corinthians 12:7
And, bear spiritual fruit Galatians 5:22-23
It’s the Anointing that opens one’s mind, and Teaches you, Guides you, Calls you to pray, and Helps you to pray, and Empowers you to want to be more like Him.
The Anointing, helps you to become much stronger believers.
And I believe that, that calls you to be an Anointed vessel of God, who has been called and cleansed by God and filled with His Holy Spirit.
So, yes!! this Anointing makes you better able to..Live for Him…
Pray to Him….
Love Him….
Trust Him …
Be led by Him…
Be obedient to Him…
And, be able to dwell in His presence…..
Live for Him…
Pray to Him….
