Many people believe that their security is in their Salvation. And yes it can be, if you know that the prayer of Salvation is not the end all, but only the beginning of..
Salvation is just the first step to becoming an Ambassador of Christ. His advocate, and walking billboard(2 Corinthians 5:20)So we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His appeal through us; we [as Christ’s representatives] plead with you on behalf of Christ to be reconciled to God.
We are saved not only by our words, but because of His grace (Ephesians 2:8) For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
Like the scripture says, you certainly can’t give yourself the credit for having faith enough to walk into that Salvation. It was a gift!
Once you become a Believer and abide in Christ the fruit of Salvation will be seen in the life of a Believer. (Galatians 5:22-23) But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Now that you are connected to the Vine, you will bear fruit…. (fruit is evidence that you’re in Christ)…
Because without Him there is no fruit…( John 15:5)“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
To abide in Him is the act of receiving and trusting all that He has for us in Christ. It’s how you get to know Him, and learn of what He needs from you while here on Earth.((1 John 2:6)Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.
If you are in Christ, you will bear fruit, and if you remain not in Him you cannot bear fruit and you will be cut off….(John 15:6)Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned.
If you are in Him, and not (for whatever reason) bearing much fruit, He will prune you so that it increases(John 15:2)He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.
The pruning process spoken about, is so we can become more productive. More like Him….
Why do you think God said what He said in (Matthew 7:21-23) “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day [when I judge them], ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, and driven out demons in Your name, and done many miracles in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them publicly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me [you are banished from My presence], you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands].’
He said that because it’s not only our mere confession of Salvation that’s enough, but our obedience and faith in doing what He tells us to do in our Salvation while on Earth is what counts..
We have to be serious and strive to do the (Will) of the Father after being saved.
Your (thoughts, feelings, desires, and actions) must be a reflection of your belief in the Salvation you have received. If not you reject yourself and cast yourself out of His (Will) when you are not serious.
Your job is to build an intimate relationship with the Lord every day. And you can’t do that while doing nothing…
Allow Him to mold you, build you, strengthen you, guide you, protect you, provide for you, and most of all love you…
And this can only happen if you serve Him with your life(Deuteronomy 6:13) You shall fear [only] the LORD your God; and you shall serve Him [with awe-filled reverence and profound respect] and swear [oaths] by His name [alone].
Our only true security is in Christ. And it can only be received by denying our own self-trust and placing it in Him(Matthew 16:24-25)Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to follow Me [as My disciple], he must deny himself [set aside selfish interests], and take up his cross [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me]. For whoever wishes to save his life [in this world] will [eventually] lose it [through death], but whoever loses his life [in this world] for My sake will find it [that is, life with Me for all eternity].
So, the question to you now is, do you serve Him, or do you serve this World? even now that you are Saved….
Because the Word of God does say, “to love Him you will have to hate this World”(1 John 2:15)Do not love the world or the things that belong to the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him. AND (Matthew 6:24) “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.
Well let’s face it…On the other hand… what this blog is mainly about is ( Faith in God, Our Security).
And, In order to operate in Faith you must have Love, and in order to operate in Love you must know that you are Loved by the One who is Love, and in His Love there will always be Security…
Placing our security in God, our Father, means resting in the power of His love.
Just look at it like this…
God is our Father, And we can rest in Him and feel secure, the same way a child rests against their parent when they too, need to feel security (Matthew 11:28)”Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest.
Our only true source of security is found in the Lord….not our money, not our spouse, not our career and definitely not our status (Proverbs 3:26) for the Lord is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap.
We know that it’s not the things that brings us security, but it’s only when we’re walking with the Lord that – that security becomes alive.
It’s only in Jesus! where we’re secure in our faith.
As we trust in the Lord, we put our faith in Him, and trust that we are safe and secure in His loving hands.(Proverbs 3:5-6)Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
Therefore, we can commit our lives and surrender our plans to Him. By faith….
God said “ without Faith it is impossible to please me”
(Hebrews 11:6) But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.
We as Believers need to know that faith is one of our biggest assets, and that God looks at our faith, and until He sees our faith, we won’t see Him in operation!
Remember faith is in your feet, not in your feelings. Step out and find out…
How many will He be able to find on the Earth who has faith, when He comes back?
And, how many can He find now?
(Luke 18:8) I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
The life of faith was never meant to be comfortable….the only way you can ever trust that your security is in the Lord, is only after knowing your identity in Him.
Be Blessed….
