What every Believer needs to know is that meditating on the Word of God is one of the greatest and most effective ways we can delight in Him(Psalms 1:2) But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night.
All that (spiritual and or biblical) meditation is, is us visualizing, pondering on and believing in God’s Word, His (promises)and for them to be manifested in our lives.
Years ago I once heard Pastor( Olanrewaju OBEMBE) say, that What you see spiritually…. And, how do you see anything spiritually? Yes, by meditation…….
So, “what you see is what you perceive(( become aware of) and what you become aware of, is what you conceive( form or devise)and what you form or devise, is what you will ultimately receive”( bring into existence)..Do you believe that?
All I know is , as we begin to see the promises of God’s Word start to take form in our lives, we can begin to see it (the written Word) from His perspective. (Joshua 1:8)This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Meditation is a great help. It helps us in ways we sometimes can’t understand without receiving that understanding from the Holy Spirit. Things like on healing, needing guidance, and direction, as well as preparing for what He has planned for us.(John 14:26)But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
As we meditate on the Word of God and His promises, we can begin to see our situations and circumstances different from all views, because the Word starts to clear and change our thinking process, and it helps us to developing the mind of Christ.(Hebrews 4:12)For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
Throughout the New Testament we read how Jesus would often withdraw Himself from people and daily life activities, like His ministry disciple(ing) His disciples, healing people and spreading the Gospel, just to be alone with the Father to pray and get refueled.(Luke 5:6)But he would withdraw to desolate places and pray.
You can also find meditation being done in the Old Testament as well(Genesis 24:63) And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming. Read also the Book of Psalm..
While prayer is the act of “talking to God”, meditation is the act of “listening to God,”. So, don’t just talk, but listen and don’t just listen, but do what He says! (James 1:22)But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.
In the solitude and silence Jesus took before the Father is where He replenished on what the Father needed from Him for His people, things like compassion, strength, wisdom, and power. Which we see all throughout the New Testament.(John 5:19)So Jesus explained, “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does)( John 5:29)I don’t speak on my own authority. The Father who sent me has commanded me what to say and how to say it.
Being alone and sitting in quietness is how Jesus began and finished His ministry.
It’s how He made daily decisions.
It’s how He was able to deal with those worldly emotions that came with Him just being born into this fallen World…
It’s how He was able to deal with the constant every day demands He faced during His ministry.
It’s how He was able to get refueled and hear from the Father.
It’s how He was able to teach His Disciples without fault.
It’s how He was able to, prepare for ALL daily ministry dicisions.
It was how He prepared Himself for His treachorous death on the cross.
Its only by prayer and meditation Heaven can be bridged to Earth. (Eph. 1:10)And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth.
Remember that it’s meditation that invites God to bring about revelation to what your seeking….so keep your mind stayed on Him at all times, by loving Him with every passing thought, by honoring Him with every word that comes out of your mouth, and by being obedient to His every command no matter what or who….
Many people like to associate the Word (Meditation)with other worldly meditation…… A technique intended to achieve a state of inner peace.
Others think of meditation as (Alertness)—an ampted up awareness of one’s own thoughts.
But Biblical meditation is not about focusing upon one self, or emptying our minds, or trying to achieve a state of calmness.
Oh no, Biblical meditation is pondering the words of Scripture with a receptive heart, trusting the Holy Spirit to work in you through those words.
Is it fair to say, that the understanding of God’s Word, connects us to the power in God’s Word?(Proverbs 4:7)Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
Understanding the Word of God only comes by revelation. Revelation of what God has to say, and the delivery of it by the Holy Spirit!
Yes, it’s the Holy Spirit that brings light unto a thing. Always remember that.(John 16:13)But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
Truth of the matter is that revelation from God will always reveal to us the hidden truths. Always! (Luke 8:17) There is nothing hidden that will not be found. There is no secret that will not be well known.
So, to those thinking meditation upon Gods Word is not necessary, Trust It Is!
It’s the only way to access revelation.
So what happens after you received Revelation? You got it, Manifestation!
Manifestation of what God has revealed.
And your part to what He said manifesting is you believing what He has spoken during the revelation….(John 14:29) I have told you these things before they happen so that when they do happen, you will believe.
It’s just that simple, “God said it; I believe it, and that settles it!”
God’s Word, written or spoken is 100 percent guaranteed.
No matter what anyone might say against it…. think towards it….. or doubt concerning it….What God said and spoke out of His mouth is settled in Heaven! ( Psalm 119:89)Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven.(2 Corinthians 1:20)For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
His Word cannot return to Him void!(Isaiah 55:11)
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
FYI!!!When something like the Word of God is made manifest, it is evident. And when evident, It is obvious, recognizable, and very plain for Everyone to see!(John 4:48)Jesus asked, “Will you never believe in me unless you see miraculous signs and wonders?”
Be Blessed….
