weak faith might continually argue over areas of the Bible he/she does not correctly understand but has formed a personal opinion. A faith not connected to the Word of God but to a ( mom, dad or aunt’s) faith and beliefs……
:Little Faith( Matthew 8:26)
Someone with little faith will find limited opportunities to benefit from the Gospel, and very little of the peace and joy that should accompany the believers life. A faith that is too weak to stand on its own and very fearful, displaying a lack of total trust.
:Faith without root(Luke 8:13)
faith without root. is the type of faith that springs up quickly, and beautifully, but because it has no depth, fails just as quickly when temptation and trials come along because the soil has not been saturated by digging and searching for knowledge, guidance, and truth, in God’s Word. A faith that’s unconnected.
:Human Faith (1 Corinthians 2:5)
Human faith can only believe what it can see, taste, hear, smell, or feel; it’s limited to the five senses. It goes no further than that. It totally has a ME FACTOR!!!! ( me,me,me,me,me)
I have never in my walk heard of anyone talking about Abstract Faith until I heard Pastor Franklin Jentezen from out of Georgia talk about it. I started questioning God about, “what is this faith and where did it come from,” because it’s nowhere in the Bible?
As I expected…. that question didn’t have to get pondered upon for too long, because I was told to investigate it for myself, and then let Him know what I found on it. Well (not) to my surprise I didn’t find much on it at all. ( 2 Timothy 2:15)Study to shew thyself approved unto God. That’s what I did.
So I took back to God what I heard and read about what Abstract Faith was and I didn’t quite understand it fully until the Holy Spirit schooled me, by saying, “all Abstract Faith is, is a combination of faiths that are Biblical”.
This name “Abstract,” was created for people who just considers God as a (something) yeah, with no type of acknowledgement of Him as their own….they don’t see Him as creator or Jesus as Son, He’s just seen as “something. ”
As usual, it’s a name put on faith, that is not Biblical, but does exist in people, that needed a name. It’s for those that consider ( God) to be “the something that’s out there,” or “the one up there,” (up there is somewhere in the universe)…
These are the ones that say they have faith, and call themselves believers, but don’t believe they have to have a relationship with God to have faith….
So, my question is?? Is that Faith?
Isn’t faith supposed to be the substance (“that which stands under.”) something or someone you believe in without question?(Hebrews 11:1) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
This sounds like faith that one has within themselves – Worldly- Human Faith?
No? 🤷♀️ Then why is it counted as a faith that dies…
Faith that is abstract dies. But faith that is personal survives, and personal it is not!!!
Abstract faith, is when you basically (quote on quote) believe in something – you know there’s a “God” out there, because of what you heard through Mama and Grandma, but don’t live your life for Him or acknowledge Him as a result.
It goes something like this…
They believe in the (name) God, more than the creator God – because their parents do. But they don’t walk on His path, they don’t call on His name, nor do they know how to walk in faith, or believe you need faith to receive what you’re asking for. They say, just put it out in the universe and it’ll come back to you.(Acts 17:24)“He is the God who made the world and everything in it. Since he is Lord of heaven and earth, he doesn’t live in man-made temples. So, doesn’t that mean He created the Universe?
They only believe and have faith in what they can see.
They may be able to recognize the Bible, because growing up it was considered sacred, and only seen as a table decoration, but was never seen being read or studied by anyone..
They may even believe it to be resourceful (but don’t live by it ).
They may even go to church from time to time, because it was something they seen Grandma do, (but never incorporate what they heard.
There’s an arm length distance, and a disconnect between what they were brought up on, and what they do out of routine, because it was what they were taught to do..
With Abstract Faith there is not a personal relationship and no commitment to God.
Their lives are lived like the lost soul it is, with a disconnected Spirit, who denies Him. (2 Corinthians 4:4) Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.
Let’s take a look at these two types of faith, side by side.
Personal Faith (versus) Abstract Faith
Personal Faith – shows, on purpose you go out of your way to worship God and value your relationship more than any other. It also means prayer is consistent and without thought.
Abstract Faith– shows, you having others pray for you because you don’t have any faith of your own. They seek (astrologers and fortune tellers). They rub on, and wear stones as good luck, and they rely on lucky numbers.
Personal Faith– shows, an individual’s confidence, trust, and hope in something or someone greater. They want to develop the God kind of love on the inside of them, and want to see Jesus in everyone as well.
Abstract Faith– shows, unjust treatment is what you deserve, even if you are innocent.
Personal Faith– shows, if you see a person in need you respond to it right away, in whatever way you can help
Abstract Faith– shows, that you’re aware of someone’s need but you put it off till tomorrow or may ignore it and don’t help at all…….Not my problem attitude.
Personal Faith– shows, that you know God is more than a nice guy….: your actual Savior, who is a true spiritual being who has impact in your life, and His impact leads to your daily decisions and behavior throughout your life.
Abstract Faith– says, I got this. I’m my own God, and as long as I have a job “imma be ok….” It says, I am ruled and led by my emotions, and how I feel at that moment, and it also says, you get what I give, so accept it.
I can’t understand how people can live like this, to say there is no God. And, not give any type of acknowledgement to the One who created them. As if the Godhead doesn’t exist!How do they think they can live a life like this! With no faith in Him, believing in carma to back anything bad that happens in their lives

Like it says in (Hebrews 11:6)And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
Please know that Faith is the currency of Heaven.
It’s what operates (moves) Heaven, and if there’s no faith there will be no
assistance!!(Proverbs 29:18)Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
(Hebrews 11:6)And it is impossible to please God without faith.
