IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS

Stop Putting Faith In Faith – Start Putting It In God And His Word…

Hello all, look I understand if the title of this blog is a little mind-boggling to you, but what you’re about to read is more common than you might think.

So, what is having faith in faith? It’s when you have faith in your own words being prayed and not in God’s promises spoken in His Word.

That’s having faith in your faith.

Question? When you pray for someone that is sick, going through a hard time, or in need of a Supernatural blessing, how do you pray?

Do you pray things like, “Lord, please heal, ” or Lord, please take away, or ” Lord, please remove?”

There’s only one problem with prayers like that: You!

Why aren’t you laying hands and praying God’s Word ( promises) over them?

If you’re a Believer and believe God’s Word to be true, then pray it! Don’t ask God to do it, He tells you to do it.

It’s not about how much faith you have in what you’re saying, but how much Jesus you know, and how much of His Word He promised, you believe!

God tells us to “lay hands on the sick and they shall recover,” not to focus on the person’s ailment, but to have faith in His promises, that (by His stripes they are healed) not will be, but are….that word (Are) indicates that something has already happened. Present Tense.
(Isaiah 53:5)And by His stripes we are healed (Partial Scriptures) And,
(Mark 16:18)
They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.”

All He wants you and I to do is believe and have faith in His Word (promises) He has given us. Jesus said in (John 27:8)For I have given them the words that you gave me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me.

Stand on your faith in God’s Word and not in your feelings, faith is not about how you feel, it’s not an emotion!

Faith is linked to a substance that is not yet seen or experienced with the five senses, but you’re convinced is real based on the Bible. And the one calling for the faith is God!

(Hebrews 11:1) KJV
(Now faith is the substance of things
(“a placing or setting under, a substructure or foundation.”) hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
(Hebrews 11:1) NLT
Faith shows the reality(Actual being or existence of anything; truth; fact; in distinction from mere appearance)
of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.
Heb. 11:1 NIV
Now faith is confidence A trusting, or reliance; an assurance of mind or firm belief in the integrity, stability, or veracity of another, or in the truth and reality of a fact.) in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
(Hebrews 11:1) AMPC
NOW FAITH is the assurance Firm persuasion; full confidence or trust; freedom from doubt; certain expectation; the utmost certainty.
(the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].

I showed you all the different versions so you’ll have a better understanding of how the word can be interchangeable, but share the same meaning.

Fact is, the more sure of the substance, confidence, reality, and assurance, the more solid the faith.

So now, when you pray, base your prayer on the faith of His promises, and In the substance of His Word, so it can be followed by the evidence, Amen!

Like this, “Lord, Your Word says this….so thank you for healing, thank you for providing….thank you for removing.” In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Just remember that when you pray, always pray out of God’s promises, not out of the problem or situation you’re praying to get changed. Faith takes God at His Word, all of the time, not some of the time. Amen! (John 17:17)Dedicate them to yourself by means of the truth; your word is truth.

Change your prayer from seeing the problem, into thanking and praising God for His promise…..turn it into a praise party! (Psalm 150:6)Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!

How, by praising and thanking Him, as you put Him in remembrance of His promise He spoke to you. God will keep His Word! (Isaiah 43:26)Put me in remembrance; let us plead together: set thou forth thy cause , that thou mayest be justified.

Listen, don’t pray for healing, deliverance, protection, or provision, because you read it, but thank Him for it because He promised it. (Mark 11:24)Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

You thank Him for that healing, that deliverance, that breakthrough because Jesus died on the cross for you to receive it! Amen.

Just know that Jesus is the (source) of your faith, not your experience! (Hebrews 12:2)Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

And yes, don’t get me wrong – as you see above in Scripture that it’s true that God’s Word states that, “when you ask and believe, you will receive,” but how are you asking? And, how are you believing in what you’ve asked for?

Are you standing and believing in His promises, or are you standing and believing in the prayer you prayed? (James 1:6)
But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.

Have faith in His Word (promise) not in the faith you’re asking in?

Some may say, “ that what you’re saying makes no sense at all,” because to receive you have to have faith.

And, yeah that is true, however, the faith you exude can not be in what you ask for, it has to be in God’s promises to you for what you’re asking. (Romans 10:17)So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.

When God says in His Word, “believe that you receive,” He’s telling you to believe in the promise backed up behind that prayer, to believe in His Word, in His promise, in which you are praying. (Mark 11:24)Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

And this is where the problem of having faith in faith comes in – because your faith should only be in His promises that you’re praying, not in the faith of your prayer. There’s a difference.

(For Example) God’s promise is, I will be with you always /Matt.28:20)
(Isa. 41:10)
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

(And You Pray) Father, please give me strength – please be with me -and please keep me safe in your arms, Amen.

You don’t have to say that because His Promise is to protect, strengthen, help, and uphold you!

(Your Prayer. Should Be)
Father God, in Jesus’ name, I thank you that your promise in (Isa, 41:10) and in (Matt 28:20) is that you’ll protect, strengthen, help, and uphold me, so I walk boldly in your promises to me today, and I thank you that I have what you said I have and what I believe, which is your Word, in Jesus name, Amen!

Just because you say you have faith doesn’t necessarily mean you’re going to receive either, unless your faith is in God’s Word, God’s promises to you.

If you believe in anything other than His promises….hang it up….you’ll be waiting.

And, people wonder why their prayers don’t get answered. Well, now you know! (Hebrews 11:6) But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

In all honesty, doesn’t having faith in faith sound innocent and harmless? But it’s the exact opposite; it’s harmful, as I’ve already demonstrated.

Jesus was the only One who could show that His having faith in His faith to get things done manifested. He spoke and received! (please read John 5). This is just proof of one incident.

Do you know with faith like that…..there is no doubt allowed.

Did you know you can say to yourself in your mind, ” I believe, I have faith,” but in your heart, you’re saying something totally different, like, “but what if,” Jesus never doubted, but we often do, whether you want to admit it or not. That heart-mind connection is real y’all!

The mind and the heart must both be working together to have faith in God, you must believe, trust, and have faith in God.

Check this out, to believe requires the mind, to trust requires the heart. This is the correlation for real authentic faith?

To have faith in faith is not the way God intended it to be in the first place. His Word says, put your faith in Me! (Mark 11:22)Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God.

What people don’t realize is that putting faith in faith causes doubt. It will always cause you to second guess, and only lead to feelings of fear, feelings of anxiousness, and feelings of insecurity, because you have nothing to back it up with!

Pastor Tony Evans said it like this; “Faith must be based on God’s Word – you can’t put faith in something that you don’t know is a promise from God….” it’s just impossible!

See, when you’re tempted to put your faith in faith and not in God’s Word for that promise, you run the risk of searching for answers within yourselves.

And that was never God’s plan, for you to put faith in yourself.

Can we agree that In every situation, God is entirely trustworthy? So why not trust in what He says to you?

This is why you should never depend on yourself, it’s a true setup from the enemy himself!
(Jeremiah 17:7-8)
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

Just because your mind and emotions are telling you something, doesn’t mean it’s accurate!

This is why the Bible instructs us to “trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” (Prov. 3:5)

What makes you think your viewpoint has any validity in the first place if it isn’t backed up by Scripture? Sorry, it doesn’t! (Isaiah 26:3-4)You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock. (Philippians 2:5)Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus.

This is one way to weed out the devil as well, if what you’re hearing doesn’t line up with the Word of God, then you already know it’s the devil most likely trying to invade. (1Peter 5:8)Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

Putting faith in your faith is like diving in the sea and not knowing how to swim. However, on the other hand, placing your faith in Jesus and on God’s promises is like walking on dry pavement with solid traction. Even if you’re about to walk through a danger zone, it feels safe and steady because God is with you…Amen!

My point here is simply this: place your trust and faith in something solid and safe and trustworthy, not in something fickle, ever-changing, and not dependable….(Proverbs 3:5‭-‬6)Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

“Don’t believe everything you think!” Don’t you know that this is where Satan places suggestions? Nevertheless, the thoughts of a wavering, unstable man are often unsure anyway. (Romans 12:2)Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Placing faith in your faith only produces doubt, but placing faith in Jesus only brings you peace!” (Hebrews 3:1)Fix your thoughts on Jesus. “And” (Hebrews 12:2)”let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author, and perfecter of our faith.” You and I are not the author or finisher of our faith, if we live for Christ.

God’s Word keeps you grounded to the truth, no matter what you see or hear with your natural eyes and ears because it’s your anchor to the love and truth of Jesus, Amen! (Hebrews 6:18‭-‬20)
We who have run for our very lives to God have every reason to grab the promised hope with both hands and never let go. It’s an unbreakable spiritual lifeline, reaching past all appearances right to the very presence of God where Jesus, running on ahead of us, has taken up his permanent post as high priest for us, in the order of Melchizedek.

If you take your eyes off of Jesus and look at the world and all that’s happening in it today, it’ll tell you to believe in yourself and what you can do for yourself. It’ll tell you that you can do it and to have faith in yourself.

But, come on, that is so contradicting to what the Bible teaches us, and you and I know that the Word of God is the source of our faith. (Romans 10:17) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

If you are One with Christ, then you need to believe that the Word of God is true and trust in what it says. That is what we as Believers put our faith in, we put it in God, by believing what He tells us in his Word, Amen!

We must move from having faith in healing to having faith in the Healer.

We must move from having faith in our confession of salvation to having faith in His (death – burial – and resurrection).

We must go from believing in our own and others’ words to believing in God’s promises.

We must progress from believing in the prayer request to believing in the promise that lies behind it.

This is why so many people are disappointed when they don’t get what they prayed for because they have faith in faith rather than faith in God.….

When you begin having faith in God’s faithfulness to His Word, and not in the faithfulness of your prayer, then and only then is when you’ll never be disappointed, and start seeing results!
(Philippians 4:17)
Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that increases to your credit.

Be Blessed….
