Question? Did you know that the moon doesn’t produce its own light? But, only reflects light from the sun?
And, another question,who’s the creator of that Sun’s light? Correct! God Himself!! (Proverbs 16:4 – The LORD has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.
When Jesus was on earth, He explained to the people that He was the “Light of the World.” (John 8:12) Once more Jesus addressed the crowd. He said, “I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”
(1 John 1:5)This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
Anyone who follows Christ should reflect His light, from the inside out, because He’s the source, right? The source within us. Amen!
Every place Jesus stepped, His light followed. It was seen and recognized like no other, to everyone who placed their eyes on Him, or stood in His presence!
Can you imagine that today? Walking with Him in the present, enjoying His, one of a kind Holiness, Love, Awe-ness, and all around Greatness!
A one of a kind Uniqueness that you just couldn’t shake and wanted to be around all the time? Because you just wanted more!
Just to think it could be like that feeling that comes up on you when you’re alone with Him in your quiet time, and in His presence in the Spirit. And then boom! An overwhelming sense of pure pleasure and peace surrounds you, and you start to (cry, praise and glorify Him all in one breath)! Knowing that it could be no one but His presence, cause you feel the sense of Love, the sense of Peace, and the sense of Power, right there where you are! Then after it remains for ( which seems like a second) it lifts and that feeling of AWESOMENESS is gone, until the next encounter!
And, it’s not like it’s something that you can predict of when He will make His presence known to you, but when He does, you better believe there’s nothing else like it!
Just ponder on the fact of what the disciples experienced when they were in His presence everyday, yet alone, the others that followed Him from place to place?
Those people wanted more, and that’s why they followed Him, and wanted to be around Him at all times! And the numbers of followers got even greater as He exited each town! (John 4:1-2) Jesus knew that the Pharisees had heard that he was winning and baptizing more followers than John was. But Jesus’ disciples were really the ones doing the baptizing, and not Jesus himself.
To walk around in that type of Light and Glory could’ve only exuded one thing, and that was (with all of them wanting to know), “who is this man!!” (John 4:29)“Come, see a man who told me all that I ever did. Can this be the Christ?”
So, as a follower of Jesus Christ are you doing your part? And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled(Luke 14:23)
Are you shining? Are you drawing the lost to you? For no one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them to me, and at the last day I will raise them up(John 6:44)
Are you being the vehicle of His Light, in this dark World? In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven(Matthew 5:16)
Do you know if others can see Him on the inside of you? And, if “His Light,” in you makes you stand out amongst the rest? (Matthew 7:16 ) You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
So! You question, “what is this light you’re saying I should have in me, as a follower, as a believer?”
Okay, first let’s gain an understanding on what this light is, “His Light,” and what it’s not –
{His Light} – symbolizes goodness, it represents what is good, true and holy.
Even Jesus allowed the Father to do His Will through Him as a man here on earth. He became the weaker vessel here on earth in His body suit, for you and me. He prayed to the Father, “Not my will, but yours be done.” (Luke 22:42) “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine be done.”
{His Light} can be seen by any and by all.
{His Light} is powerful and far-reaching, able to illuminate everything.
{His Light} is holiness, righteousness, and goodness.
{His Light} is a part of His essence.
{His Light} is completely, unreservedly, absolutely holy, with no sin, no taint of iniquity, and no hint of injustice.
{His Light} is the opposite of distress, trouble, perplexity, and sorrow.
{His Light} is who He Is!
Does these things of Him exude you? Consume you?
As a true believer in Christ, anyone who comes In your presence should know you carry Jesus, in every aspect of the way. He should be seen in you by others. Or, you should be spoken about in people’s conversations as you being different than the other’s in a good way – whether you know the other person or not! (Ephesians 1:13)And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. That “something about you,” seen by others, should always be the (Light) that sticks out, no matter where you are, or who you surround yourself around. That “Light” should be drawing, inquisitive and gravitating to them……yep, just like it was with Jesus when He was in people’s presence!! It was incomparable!
The people experienced a once of a lifetime drawing when they came upon Him, or Him upon them, and they wanted more!!
I have to be honest, I knew exactly what His disciples felt the day Jesus ( came, called and chose) they had to be in such Awe, from His presence, that they didn’t want to be any place else, but in His Presence!! ( My thoughts of course). Jesus was like a magnet!
Yeah I know, like today, Jesus has people that don’t want to follow, and are intimidated by His name alone, so this makes them “question,” this makes them want to “pretend there is no Him(God),” and “lie on Him!”
Why? Because the people of the World question what they don’t understand, as well as, try and kill off what they don’t have to acknowledge, if it’s not around! Have you ever heard the saying, ” Outta Sight, Outta mind?”
People don’t want to get to know Him for themselves, but take the word of other people (good or bad) and run with it, without doing their own study! Let’s be honest, most are afraid of change, most don’t want change, cause they’re comfortable.
But, the saddest of it all is, being told that we as humans derived from Ape’s, and that there’s no GOD!! Really People! Really!! So I wonder who created the Ape?(Genesis 1:27) So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.
Okay, Moving On!! As a follower, in order for you to experience “His Light,” the light spoken about above, you MUST go through this process. The process of (Spiritual Brokenness)!

The only way to become His beacon of light to others in this dark world (Spiritual Brokenness) Surrender! Has to take place. It’s the only thing that’s going to allow the (Holy Spirit) to clean you up, and have His way!! (Galatians 5:25)If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.
It’s the process of allowing everything not of God to go “bye bye,” and letting go of self. It’s the process of your eyes being opened, your mind being awakened, and your heart being enlightened! It’s the process of allowing the Spirit of God to have His way in you, and with you!
It means, allowing Him to go deep and personal! To reach way down into the creavese’s and areas of your life you didn’t know existed!
Those areas ( better yet) ignored, never wanting to be revisited again, but still existed…. those areas where you thought were just a part of your make – up, when in all actuality it’s where Satan ruled…..(Romans 7:15-17)I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me.
Yep! Those areas that aren’t God worthy at all, and must be put away once and for all, and the only way that can happen is by way of the Holy Spirit…..
Everyone who comes seeking to know more about ( Father – Son – & Holy Spirit) all comes withered, broken and lost, in one way or another. Why do I say (broken, withered and lost)? Because we were all born into a world void of God and His existence, and it is only by way of you and I being cleaned up and reconnected to Him by way of Jesus Christ, is when we become free! And, 10 × out of 10, it’s going to be the Holy Spirit who can get deep enough to pull back those layers of (shame, hopelessness, defeat and abandonment), and so much more….. in order to show us what we’re really working with! (Isaiah 64:6)For we are all become as one that is unclean, and all our righteousnesses are as a polluted garment: and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.
You have to look at it like this, the same way you’re seeking Him, is the same way He’s wanting to be sought / pursued! (Jeremiah 29:13) If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.
However! You can’t join His army ( any ole” way) He wants to clean you up, and show you what you were really created for, and why He desires for not one to perish ( He) created……He wants to make you aware of what you cannot see, and that is the trickery of the devil working overtime in your life without your knowing!!! (1peter 5:8)Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.
Have you ever heard someone say, ” they had a come to Jesus meeting?” Well, the Holy Spirit will truly take you there!(John 16:13)But when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will teach you all truth. For he shall not speak of himself; but what things soever he shall hear, he shall speak; and the things that are to come, he shall shew you.
Coming to Jesus ( ignorant, broken, bruised and worn out) because of all of the sin that was so dominating in your life, is all about allowing the Lord to show you and help you recognize your (flaws, pitfalls, carnal thinking etc.) and how you need to depend on Him, on a daily basis, while allowing Him to reflect, “His Light,” through you, to the darkest parts of the world we all live in.
The Apostle Paul reminds the church in Corinth that they shouldn’t just be sorry about their actions that keep them away from God, but that they should turn away from them and turn to Him for guidance (Ephesians 4:17-24).
Paul was pretty much saying, “Look, the only way anyone can make it, is by walking in the Light of Jesus Christ! The One who came to save us from the darkness of this world and to set us free!!”
This was the picture Paul painted for all – in the book of Ephesians.
Can we all at least admit that we were all lost, stumbling around in darkness, and it could’ve only taken Jesus to rescue us, and pull us out of our sins? Amen!
Nothing and No One Else could’ve done it, and this is why we needed a SAVIOR!! ( John 3:16) For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Now, those living in Him, are free! Free from living in darkness, and are now living in the light! And it is your job to continually allow the Holy Spirit to keep you in that “Light,” as the “Light,” so you’ll never go back to the darkness, where you will only stumble, fall, and get lost….stay in the Light, as the Light! Amen!
Living this life as the beacon of “Light” God needs you to be, remember this… someone is always watching you and wanting to experience that “Light” within you, whether you notice it or not.
Those that are watching are going to want to see if your walk for Christ lines up to your talk, and if your talk characterizes Christ as well.
What I mean by that is this! God has a certain way for His people to live and He also has characteristics that don’t line up with the people of this world, so make sure you are as connected to Christ as you lead on, because if you’re not it will shine through….God has nothing to do with Hypocrisy!!
FYI ….if you have accepted Christ as your savior, you have access to BE THE LIGHT, He needs you to be for Him. And if you haven’t, here’s your opportunity!! Pray this prayer!
Father God, I come before you in Jesus name. I open my heart to you today. Your Word says, “Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Acts 2:21). I believe that you died on the cross for my sins in exchange for your righteousness, and that you conquered hell, death and the grave and rose on the 3rd day. Your Word says, according to (Romans 10:9-10) “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. I invite you into my heart as my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I give you permission to take my life and do as you choose with it, and through it. In Jesus name, Amen!!
So listen, don’t be one of those! who’s portraying to be all (gung-ho) for Jesus one minute, wanting to be His spiritual “wing man,” but the minute you get around certain people, you cover up the fact that you even have a relationship with Him!.
Truth be told, becoming a believer is a privilege….why? because He gets to use us as “His light,” while allowing others to see it as clear as day, as you come in contact with them….Amen!
We are called to be as Christ in this world! And, trust! That is no small task, especially knowing all that He went through, and still never sinned! (Romans 13:14 )But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.
We have been commissioned by God to BE and to BRING the Light of Jesus Christ to all people! And, how? How do we do that?
We do that by letting Him shine brightest through us! Allowing Him to be on blast in you!
That’s what it means to have Christ alive in us, by allowing Him to shine, act, and love through us!
As we submit ourselves wholeheartedly as vessels to be used by Him. Nothing about what others think or say concerning you is of any importance, this is when He will rise, He will shine, He will thrive! Yep, by way of you Saint!!
If the light of all of Heaven can flourish brightly in and through Him as a man on this earth, it can us as well! I mean come on, He was, and is, and will always be, our example, Amen!
Can’t you see just how powerful that Light is? So powerful, meaningful and worth every beam, just so it can become evident to all!
No, it’s not us, we could never take credit for it, but the Christ in us! He can! Amen! He chose to place in you, and me, His Power! His Light! His Love! and His Hope, for others by way of us!! Whoa, Man!! How can you not shout Hallelujah!!
This is who He created us to be!!! THE LIGHT! HIS LIGHT! in this dark world.
Listen, I want you to know that there’s freedom in that Light, the freedom of knowing that you are loved, and accepted, yes even though we are broken, ignorant and blind, but He still accepts you as you are. There’s no hiding from Him, and if there’s no hiding from Him, just embrace Him, welcome Him, open up to Him, because He’s waiting!! Amen..
Come on, it’s not like He doesn’t know where you are. Know your worth in Jesus and walk in “His Light!” Amen!
