Goliath Who??

Giant What! Giant Where! Giant Who!!

Question? Have you ever heard this song by ( 21:03 Gospel Group)? It’s called, NOBODY BIGGER :the hook goes like this;  “Ain’t nobody bigger than our God….. Nobody bigger! And, how true is that? Very Right….

As you see here in this scripture David believed that also! He knew what God could do and he stood on it, and allowed others to see it as well, with a stone and a slingshot!(1 Samuel 17:37) David said moreover, ( to Saul) The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. ( 1 Samuel 17:47) ( David said to Goliath) This is the Lord’s battle, and he will give you to us!”(1 Samuel 17:49) ( the fight begins) Reaching into his shepherd’s bag and taking out a stone, he hurled it with his sling and hit the Philistine in the forehead. The stone sank in, and Goliath stumbled and fell face down on the ground. Don’t forget, this was a kid fighting a giant in stature, but what the other’s failed to realize, is that David also had a Giant on his side as well, the only difference was, they couldn’t see David’s Giant!!

Don’t you know how big our God is? Let’s just put it like this! The size of the Goliath in your life  doesn’t even compare to the size of our God. Amen!!

God is the game-changer! He makes everything else so miniscule when you live your life for Him.

When we live our lives for the Father, the Spirit of God is with us, on us, in us, over us, behind us, and before us. (John 14:16‭-‬18)And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Did you just hear what you read…that means we don’t have to fight on our own! That means we don’t have to walk around looking like we are defeated because we are not! Wherever we go,we take God’s Power and Presence with us……yep, even onto the battlefield as we fight. (Deuteronomy 10:30)The Lord your God who goes before you will himself fight for you, just as he did for you in Egypt before your eyes,

No matter what, you have to remember that what you’re facing today, holds no place to who stands right there beside you, reminding you, ” Don’t fear, I’m right here with you,” “We got this, all I need you to do is trust that I got you!”

God wants you to remember your calling, remember who’s covering you, remember your testimony. He just wants to  remind you, who you have on your side. Yes, Him! The One and Only God Almighty!! (Psalm 118:6-9) please read!

This is a scripture you should meditate upon day and night,  (Why, you may ask)? Because not only is it true! But, once you get it on the inside of you, you’ll face nothing in fear! But only in the knowledge of that Word you meditated on! (Psalm 1:2)But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.

Recognizing that the God who goes with you, you Father!  Is bigger than the giant who’s trying to fight against you. Amen!  ((Romans 8:31)What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Believe it or not, some Christian’s don’t believe that.

They get saved and spend their whole life running from God and not to Him. And, that’s only because they don’t believe what God promised them in His Word, which is (Proverbs 3:5‭-‬6) Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

When people can get that through their heads and into their hearts, that God created us to run to Him, and not from Him!

He created us to deal with things head on – like He did! Jesus was an endur-er, He endured and so can we! Amen!

So knowing that, wouldn’t you say, it’s time to face that lingering hurt, face that nasty rumor, face that childhood trauma, face that bully, It’s time! It’s time to stop running!

Remember,You can’t conquer or overcome what you don’t confront, and what you hide behind!

Don’t shoot the messenger, but too often we’re not confronting the issues, but patting them on the back, as if it’s okay for them to be there, when what we should be doing is confronting them once and for all, and laying them to rest!

A lot of times as humans people hate to face what’s uncomfortable and speak what’s really on their hearts and minds, all for the care of someone else’s feelings.

But, what happens when that uncomfortable – ness ( yeah, I know that’s not a word) on the inside of you turns into anger, rage, bitterness, or regret? All because you’re afraid of hurting someone’s feelings! Then what? Who will you blame then….you won’t be able to blame anyone, that will be all YOU!  (Deuteronomy 31:6)Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

Just imagine what’s waiting on the other side of that giant you’ve been afraid to face all these years…… You got it, freedom!  (Luke 4:18)“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free,

I cannot say this enough…..God built you and I to endure, not run!! (Mark 14:13)And you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

The longer it takes for you to face your Goliath head on, the longer it will continue to harass you, torment you, and speak to you, why? Because you keep running from it instead of facing it! (James 1:12)Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

One thing for sure, you gotta stop ignoring things that bother you! And stop sweeping them under the rug, this is not how you were built! You were built to endure! (Romans 5:4)And endurance produces character, and character produces hope,

Keep in mind, it’s God who gives you the strength, and the willpower to do what you couldn’t do in your own strength! Know that He’s your way maker! (Jeremiah 29:11)For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

So go ahead, and make that step to face your Galiath head on, and remember as you do so, what awaits you on the other side of that weight ( freedom), and who’s going to be right there by your side( Holy Spirit), as you stand your ground and face that battle as God fights it for you! Amen!

(Psalms 37:6‭-‬8)He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun. Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes. Stop being angry! Turn from your rage! Do not lose your temper— it only leads to harm.

Be Blessed….
