Question, what is keeping you idle, what is keeping you from stepping out and finding out what God has for you?
This is not the time to sit back and wish, wonder, and hope….this is the time to put yourself in motion and get up, get out, and do something. Something that you know is nudging you, pushing you, leading you to that path that’s already been prepared for you, The only thing that’s missing is you! (I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. – Psalm 32:8)
You do know that the only way you can step toward your destiny, and what God has for you is for you to step away from your security. Yes, that familiarity, that comfort, that territory, you’ve been treading so long, that now the time has come for you to tread new territory. (Proverbs 3:5-6 ) Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths.
That territory that’s uncertain and unfamiliar to you, until you begin to tread it, and ask God, “okay Father what now”, what do You need from me, ‘right here, right now! Show me Your way for my life Lord, I am Yours to command, If You lead I will follow! (Psalm.143:10)Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
Listen, whether you believe it or not, God is waiting on you. He is waiting for you to listen, hear, and obey. He is waiting for you to pay attention to those nudges in your Spirit that’s giving you a sense of uneasiness, unsettlement, discontentment. Pay attention…..He’s trying to get your attention!
Just like God revealed Himself to Abram, and gave him a very simple and direct command, that he was either going to listen to and obey, or turn a deaf ear to and ignore.
God said to Abram, walk away from everything you’ve ever known. “Leave your country, your people and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you.” (Genesis 12:1- 4 ) The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” So Abram went, as the Lord had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Harran.
Who knows where God will lead you, if you’ll just let Him take the reins!!
In order to tread a different territory, you have to move out and go somewhere else, you have to leave where you are and step out into the unknown…… (Philippians 3:13 NIV) Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,
You have to leave what’s familiar, what’s comfortable, what’s normal, and what’s routine. To step into your calling and your purpose, you will have to step away from your security.
Trust me, you are going to have to step out in order to find out! Who knows where God will lead you, if you’ll just let Him?
