Have you ever had a conversation with someone about Jesus, to only discover early on in the conversation that person’s walk with Him? (Matt. 7:16)You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act.
That…. they’re either walking, and are “God minded purposed”, or that they’re not interested in any “Jesus Talk,” and avoid the conversation at all cost, to only start talking about something else. Or, they don’t have a relationship with Him at all….(Revelation 3:16).So because you are lukewarm (spiritually useless), and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of My mouth [rejecting you with disgust].
Have you ever had the opportunity to ask someone if they’re a believer in Jesus Christ, and they come back and say, “I’ve made the confession”, and have walked up to the altar to repeat the confession. Yeah, I’m saved!
But, what does that really mean! Why do they say that? When has it become okay for people to use that as a pass!
How can one have the thought of accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior … .and living a Christ like lifestyle…. to then entertain a second thought (from the devil) that they can live a sinful lifestyle one moment in the flesh and then switch over (whenever they want) back to living a life for Him the next, and believe that it is okay.
Nothing makes that okay!! (Titus 1:16)They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work.
To think like that, can only mean that the confession spoken from their lips wasn’t sincere and from the heart in the first place … .So, where between your steps to Salvation and your (supposed) walk before Christ did your thoughts get misconstrued! ( 1 Pet.5:8)Be serious! Be alert! Your adversary the Devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour.
Salvation is not just something you receive by admitting you’re a sinner and asking Him to come into your life. No! Salvation is something you live with Him now! As a set free soul! And a reconnected spirit! Living it out for others to see on a day to day basis, Amen! (Psa. 25:5)Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.
So what was it that really drove them to ask Jesus into their life in the first place?
Was it self? Was it the message they heard? Or, was it life’s circumstances and situations? ( Rom.1:16)
I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation [from His wrath and punishment] to everyone who believes [in Christ as Savior].
How would you explain a situation like that? In which someone who just asked Jesus into their life, to only walk out of the building and immediately go back to sin? (John 8:44) You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
For a person actively in their sinning, I believe it would be only satisfying for them to say something like, ,”I am a work in progress,” (or) something like, “I’m not perfect and, God knows my heart,” (or) something like “In spite of my sin, He still loves me” (1 John 3:9) Those who are children of God do not continue to sin, for God’s very nature is in them; and because God is their Father, they cannot continue to sin.
Keep this in mind…. it’s not the person who has sinned and is broken over it, and wants to fix it, that you must be concerned about……It’s the one who sins and then justifies it, and never loses any sleep over it…now, that’s the person who’s living like they have not been reunited with Christ, and have not died to sin….(Quoted by Voddie Baucham)…..
Why do people say stuff like that? Why do they feel that their “confession” is a green light to say that out loud, but not walk in! Let’s talk about it and why!
They believe that, even in their sin, after making the confession with their mouth and saying that they “Have a good heart” and that they “Are a good person” believe that God won’t hold them accountable for their wrong doing. But Wow!! That is so far from the truth!
(Romans 2:12) For all who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law. (Matt. 12:36) But I tell you, on the day of judgment people will have to give an accounting for every careless or useless word they speak.
Please Know That…..☝️
Question, after making Jesus the Lord of your life, what do you think comes along next? Yep, your testing for preparation….
You must! Pay attention to the testing that comes along shortly after making Jesus Lord of your life. This testing will expose the deepest most inner parts of what’s in your heart. As well as comb through the tiniest fibers of your mind to see exactly where your trust truly lies.
(Jam. 1:3) Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace].
It’s all there to sanctify you (set you apart) and clean you up, (purify) so you’ll become more like Jesus.(Ron.12:2)Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
it’s just the beginning! The beginning of walking with the Father and representing the pattern Jesus left behind for others to want to follow along with you… (Eph.2:10)For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
There’s still a lot He has to do in you, starting on working to transform the inside, just to get it moved to the outside for show and tell, Amen! (Phil.1:6)And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
God is so gracious and merciful to us that His refining power transitions us into who He is a little at a time…Amen! (2 Cor.3:18)So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.
Just know that It is not God’s expectation for us to display all the fruits of the Spirit immediately. He knows it will take time. (Matt.7:16)You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
And, as we grow, God will place us in situations where we are required to, by making Godly decisions, as well as developing and exercising His tailored characteristics. (Isa.64:8) And yet, O LORD, you are our Father. We are the clay, and you are the potter. We all are formed by your hand.
This preparation you’ll be going through will prepare you for all that will be awaiting you…. like the enemy!
Be Blessed….
