This is the word God spoke to me years ago (about 8) two years after I got really serious about my walk and relationship with Jesus.
Apostolos: a messenger, one sent on a mission, an apostle
Original Word: ἀπόστολος, ου, ὁ
Part of Speech: Noun, Masculine

Transliteration: apostolos

Phonetic Spelling:(ap-os’-tol-os)

Short Definition: an apostle, a messenger, an envoy, a delegate

Definition: a messenger, envoy, delegate, one commissioned by another to represent him in some way, especially a man sent out by Jesus Christ Himself to preach the Gospel; an apostle.

That word Apostolos is a Greek word and that is exactly how the Lord spoke it to me.

Not knowing what that word meant or the purpose of why He spoke it.

I immediately jumped up off of the couch and ran for every concordance I had in my house, after hearing that word spoken.

Upon looking for the definition of that word I stopped and said “Lord, what are you saying to me, and what does this word mean?”

So as He remained silent, I knew I had to take it upon myself to find out on my own.

As I looked in the Strong’s Concordance as well as the Greek for what the definition of that word meant, it read in Greek – “apostolos ap-os’-tol-os from 649; a delegate; specially, an ambassador of the Gospel; officially a commissioner of Christ (“apostle”) (with miraculous powers):–apostle, messenger, he that is sent.

As I sat on the bed asking myself “why did God speak this one word to me”? I asked Him. “I said okay Lord, I know that you spoke this word to me for a reason,” “can you please let me know why.”

A few minutes later He says to me, “study that word and gain understanding of why I said it”.

As I’m sitting on the bed, my husband enters the room like, “Jae what’s wrong, with you jumping off of the couch running up the stairs like that”? “Are you okay”? I’m like “yeah babe, the Lord just spoke one word to me as I was lying on the couch” He said, APOSTOLOS.”

To make a long story short, my husband left the room and I proceeded to do some studying.

I picked up my bible to see if I could find that word anywhere in it and (I could not) all I could find that linked up to that word was Apostle.

Sitting there researching a new word I got from God, I went from the concordance to the bible, from the bible to the Greek concordance…. Looking over this word and trying to find the different meanings of it, in any way that I could.

I realized that He was calling me to go and do.

After so much research I found multiple scriptures in the bible where Jesus was SENT, as well as other people. It stated in (Hebrews 3:1) Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus. And in (John 3:17) “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
(John 8:29)And the one who sent me is with me—he has not deserted me. For I always do what pleases him.”
(John 6:38)For I have come down from heaven to do the will of God who sent me, not to do my own will.
So, I found scriptures where it said Jesus was sent, as well as Jesus was an Apostle.
” The word “Apostle” implies three things that I read about:
(1st) You must be sent.

(2nd) You must be sent on a particular mission.

(3rd) You must be sent with sufficient power to accomplish the mission.
(Jesus had all 3 of these plus some)

So, if Apostolos and Apostle are the same word, and mean the same thing, why could He just not say Apostle right?

That’s one thing I soon grew to learn as I walked for Christ, He teaches you as He leads you Isa.48:17 This is what the LORD says–your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow.

I have never heard this word Apostolos before, but the word Apostle I have.

I guess in His own way, He was just teaching me another language of how to say Apostle.

There is so much more to this story, because weeks later He spoke to me yet another word.

I will share that with you on another day.

Okay, so I was being sent, “but sent where?”

(&) No,”we were being sent” (also another story for another time)…

Yep, being sent to the highways, and the byways( Luk. 14:23) So the master said to his slave, ‘Go out to the highways and country roads and urge people to come in, so that my house will be filled. to the North, East, South, and West (Luk.13:29) And they shall come from the east and west, and from the north and south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.

That is exactly how He put it, not to me, but to my husband!

Where was the first place He sent us????

To the place we reside today, Georgia….
We were told to take nothing, but our clothes, and to give everything else away, and that is what we did…

From the basement to the 3rd floor, everything had to go.
Since our leave from Maryland in 2010, I have seen God’s hand everyday in our walk for Him.

And, even though He has sent us to a lot of people who did not acknowledge His using us for them( Spiritually) they missed out on His blessing.

They were looking for something much bigger than us, I guess…

Maybe an Angel from heaven, a feeling, a bright flash in the middle of the night, or God Himself.

I don’t know, but what I do know is that they truly over looked the reason of why He sent us there at that particular time.

God is not just going to send someone somewhere for nothing….God hears your cries and He is touched by your pain, and what you shouldn’t do is turn away or reject the person or person’s that He has sent your way to help you. God uses people. 2 Cor. 5:20 So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”

Any rejection of Him, and the Word He is sending to you through a person or persons, only leads to this – Matt 10:12-14 When you enter the home, give it your blessing. If it turns out to be a worthy home, let your blessing stand; if it is not, take back the blessing. If any household or town refuses to welcome you or listen to your message, shake its dust from your feet as you leave.
Luke 9:5 If people do not welcome you, leave their town and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.”

Mark. 6:11 And if any place will not welcome you or listen to you, leave that place and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.”

What is the meaning of that anyways: Shake The Dust From Your Feet?

The symbolism is that by shaking off the dust from their feet, they are showing that those in that town or home didn’t receive the message of the kingdom of heaven and that makes them unworthy.

Anyone that rejects Jesus’ message (unbelievers) can never be worthy to inherit eternal life but only worthy of the wrath of God (John 3:36). If they neither listen to them nor receive them then the peace of God is to return to them and there is no condemnation lifted (Rom 8:1).
Now this is what the word of God says…..

    1. I open a free account with WordPress and get the writing, at least that’s what I did. You got to get what you have on the inside of you out or what you’ve been jotting down on paper out because you never know what it can do to help somebody else. God bless
