The spiritual Purge Is Real

The question is, what do you know about Spiritual Purging?

Purging –

Pruning –

Cleaning –

Wash –

Call it what you want, it’s bound to happen if you’re choosing to put God first in your life…

Why is it bound to happen, you may ask? Well, because it’s part of your Spiritual Growth Process, and no one is exempt….

I know to some this may not sound appealing, but the purging process is necessary.

Everything that’s not like Christ must be removed and peeled back from your life, for you to grow and mature spiritually.

No need to panic—Because the Holy Spirit will be right there by your side leading you, guiding you, and directing your every step – I promise.

No need to panic because the Holy Spirit will be right there by your side leading you, guiding you, and directing your every step – I promise. (John 14:26) But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

The purging process is real, you all.

It’s meant to move you from one level spiritually and move you to the next. (1Peter 2:2)Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it, you may grow up into salvation—

All that heaviness that you are carrying around (that weight) will all have to go bye-bye (Hebrew 12:1)Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.

God never wants us to be weighed down with anything, that is not what He created us to do. That was not part of our makeup.

So, therefore, we must cast our cares, as the Word tells us to do in (1 Peter 5:7) Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. And,

(Psalms 55:22)Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.

He wants to see us set free and purge us from all impurities in our lives. Hallelujah!

Let’s face it, how can we go higher in Him and advance more for the kingdom if sin is weighing us down?

No matter how you try to ignore this issue of sinning in your life, you can’t! You can’t advance…

That’s what purging is all about. It’s getting rid of all the junk that has nothing to do with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

He has to get rid of (sin, guilt, condemnation, and impurities) by way of Jesus Christ, so we can be free from it all! And, Jesus is the only way! (Acts 4:12)And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

When it’s your turn to go through the purging process, it will show up without much warning. Yep, no flares, no signs. None of that!

Honestly, It’s somewhat like when you get a weird taste in your mouth, and your stomach gets queasy, and you just know that you know that you know that something is going on, on the inside of you that cannot be fully explained. Yeah! Something like that…..well, for me anyway!

During this time, the Lord starts revealing things to you that you didn’t even know existed, and must be removed from your life.

All the while, at the same time, He’s revealing things to you, about you! You are experiencing a sense of peace that assures you that, “everything will be okay.”

There’s nothing you can do at this time, but sit back, be quiet, and take part in the purging as He lays everything on the table.

He’ll start revealing things to you that are not right, concerning your inward man. You’re thinking, your motives, your worldly passions, your deep-seated woes. All that has to go from your life.

Hold on! It’s not over yet!

He’ll reveal things about the people in your circle, you should not be around, those so-called friends! The one’s that smile all while stabbing!!! Yeah, those!

He’ll start to show you bits and pieces about yourself you thought you had in check, but don’t-

He’ll start revealing things that you didn’t even see as a problem to you, but are to Him.

Ok, so now that the purging has begun, it can become quite emotional and painful, (why)? Only because you’ll be faced with things you will have to let go of that you hold so dear to you, that’s not good for you or your growth.

God wants nothing stumping your growth or standing in the way of it, so (it or they)will have to go.

Some things will become enlightened, and some things will become uncomfortable.

All of those things done in the dark, in the back in the booth…yep, It will all be brought to your forefront.

Those issues you know about and those you don’t even know you have, like – (pride, negative thinking, gossip, fornication, smoking, drinking) Etc.

That time right there is personal between you and God, so if you have questions that you need answers to, ASK!!

This time right here will be that time when everything will feel as though it’s smacking you in the face.

You will find yourself crying (that hurtful, ugly, cry) screaming, moaning, laughing(yep) even in your crying.

He’ll start to show you things about yourself that you never thought anyone ever knew, let alone cared about, and it’ll touch you in a way only He wants it to.

See that moment as a FREE OF SELF – COME TO JESUS MOMENT.

Let it all out and let Him all in….

So, once that has taken place, get yourself together.

Repent! And do it from your heart.

Ask God to forgive you!

No one ever said it would be easy. But it’s a process we all have to go through, to get purified, so we can be used as clean vessels for the service ahead (2 Timothy 2:19‭, ‬21‭-‬22)Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work. Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

So, yes! A good purging is called for, huh?

Believe me, all of our purging processes will be different in one way or another, but the (end) result will hopefully be the same. Freedom!

And, us wanting a lot more of JESUS…..

Be Blessed….

    2. Olivia, I am so sorry to hear you got terminated from your ministry, just look at it this way, your time there at that place was over. You have to remember this, sometimes when someone is going through a purging season others do not understand that. What I want to tell you is this, just continue to keep your eyes on the Lord and remain strong in your faith, because your purging season isn’t for nothing! God always releases something great after it’s all over and done with. When God purges you it’s because He has something bigger and better on the other side of it. God Bless….

  2. Hi, I know I am a couple of years late to this blog but we all know that God is always on time. I will try to make my story short and sweet, but I have been battling the most crippling depression ever since. I thought I was getting better but I have been physically ill for the past week. I have made multiple trips to urgent care and I even went to the ER last night and everything is “normal,” by medical standards. This morning I woke up feeling even sicker than I was yesterday. I attempted to clean but found myself needing to stop multiple times and finding a little comfort in lying on my bedroom floor. I have to shake this feeling, please God take this feeling away from me. I am weak and I feel so queasy, please God help me. The more I scrolled my Facebook timeline, the sicker I became. I jumped up and attempted to brush my teeth and as I looked up at the mirror, it felt as if Holy Spirit said to me “open your eyes.” The moment I widened my eyes, I felt clarity. It was as if all of the symptoms that I had been feeling before were a distant memory. I have a real food addiction and today for the first time I saw food differently. Whenever I thought about having something that was unhealthy, nausea would come right back. I bit into a banana for the first time in a very long time and it had the most amazing taste. It hit me, is that I am feeling God’s way of purging me from what I no longer need in my life. It feels as if there is a shift occurring in my life. Not only with food but in other areas of my life. I had to google how it feels when God is purging you and I came across your blog. It is so nice to know that I am not going crazy and that what I have been feeling is real. Praise His holy name,

    1. Hello my dear,
I had to respond to your message! Let me first start off by saying that your message really did move me. Listen, God is a good God and He has a plan for your life. Believe that!
God has a way of reaching us even when we don’t want to be reached and that’s only because He loves us and wants the best for us, however He has to do it He will, and His way of getting to you and you calling on His Holy name, unfortunately was by sickness.
Listen, take time to sit in a quiet place before Him and get quiet at His feet. Let Him know that you welcome Him to speak, reveal and uncover all that He has to say to you and that you are listening. God loves you and so do I sister. If you ever need prayer for anything please don’t hesitate to reach out to me (onfireforgod1973@gmail.com). My personal email.

God bless you and continue to listen, hear, and grow!

      Be Blessed….
      Your sister in Christ
