The Truth About.. Mark 11:23 -24

Today I would like to talk about two particular scriptures that needs understanding……

I can remember way back when I started my walk with Christ as One, all in, totally committed. There were 2 scriptures that I meditated on consistently, and they were

Mark 11:23-24

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

John 15:7

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Let’s start with ( Mark 11:24)

What does this scripture really mean and how is it to be understood?

So, what does answers to prayers look like for you and me? The question should be; are we “asking for the right things in prayer”. because according to

1 John 5:14 – And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us:

Well, as it says ( According to His will) Are we asking for things according to His Will when we ask? I had to learn truly for myself that those 2 scriptures didn’t mean ” blank check status”, ask how you want and for what you want……man, did I have another thing coming…

What I mean by that is this my focus was so wrong, but hopefully you can gain understanding from my mistakes.

Where many go wrong like I did is focusing on the 3 baseline words spoken in vs.24 which are ((Whosoever,Whatsoever & Believe you receive )) did you know that these words are the ELEMENTS to the law of FAITH?

What I want you to know is that there’s no such thing as faith that doesn’t work or believing in the Word of God that doesn’t work. Our only problem is, we just need to know how to work it…..

I believe that it’s that word “whatsoever”……..that is what throws one off.

So, you go to God in prayer praying the way you think you should pray and ask God for what you think is lined up and according to His will, but don’t receive the answer to your prayer you were looking for.

But!! Why God Why???? What happened to you??? Why didn’t You show up for me??? Did you ever think He didn’t answer because just maybe,the prayer you prayed was a prayer from out of fear?

Praying in fear will never work because faith and fear does not go hand and hand and you can’t say you’re operating in faith, but pray in fear…

Any Fear Tolerated will Contaminate Your Faith……( fear tolerated means faith Contaminated) please remember that.

There is a law that governs faith and this is the reason for prayers not being answered…….you can’t just pray anyway you want; you have to pray by the guidelines.. The guidelines are simple….. LOVE …faith operates by LOVE

(Gal.5:6)

So, many people want God to do this and God to do that, but how can He, when you are operating in the law of sin and death which is for (starters) Fear….. oh yeah you can’t forget about all of the; unforgiveness, hatred, bitterness, wrath, backbiting, strife and unbelief still rearing its ugly head often enough …nah, we can’t forget those things in your life that has absolutely nothing to do with who God is and that is LOVE…it’s only the opposite …

Where does that fear come from? It comes from the lies of the Devil, your Foe, your Enemy, the one scheming against you every day of your life…and, just in case you forgot, fear is the opposite of faith, which comes from the Word of God

(Romans 10:17) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God

(James 4:3)

When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures

( this right here is the prob)

This type of thinking…..

For so many people that attend Church and hear, “all you have to do is”, but it’s not that simple at all, because it’s not “all you have to do is”. It’s. so much more that comes along with that.

It wasn’t only (Whatsoever & Whosoever believe you receive )

See this is where people give up, cave in, and quit is when they do what they’re told to do over and over again and still see no results, and can’t quite understand why…..Well, it goes back to ( Jam.4:3)

What you need to understand when it comes to you reading , quoting or meditating on one or more scriptures you think is gonna get you what you’re asking for is this(Obedience – Faith – Love Walk ) This is what it’s going to take …so, can I ask you, How You Living??? cause it makes all the difference in the world……..

Are all of those things above lined up in your life? in the way He expects you to live, or are you living life your way and thinking everything is going to eventually fall into place?

Well, if you’re thinking that way, you are setting yourself up for failure and disappointment, because it is not going to work…We first need to grab our Bibles and find out what the Will Of God is.

.(Colossians 3:2)

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

Spoiler Alert!! You can’t just quote a scripture or two and think you’re going to see results as soon as you get off your knees because it doesn’t work like that….

True story……

I was in Church, attending Bible Study and Reading my Word daily……I was Meditating on scripture and doing the Godly things I thought I needed to do to get Him ( God) to move in my life.. But! still sinning… sleeping around, drinking and puffing and surely other un- Godly things I could probably think about if I did so long enough.

And, still having the nerve to get mad because God wasn’t answering my prayers. I really had this “following Jesus” thing all wrong….. I mean all the way wrong.

We can not continue to do what we want in this walk of faith with Jesus, and think He got us …yeah, of course He loves us but honestly, what can He do with us living like a Hellion and not following His path at all, but following our own ( the one we have supposedly died to)

Sinning and Winning is not the name of the game…..Sorry!! Not At All.

BUT!!
