Practice God's Presence

Practicing The Presence Of God….

Do you know how important it is  to practice God’s Presence?

Identifying and distinguishing His voice to the point where you know without a shadow of a doubt He is who your speaking to, and the one speaking to you.

(John 10:27) My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

Well, one way to know if it’s God talking to you or not, is by knowing where the voice your hearing is coming from.

Is what your hearing coming from the heart or  from your mind?

I say this because God will always speak to you in your heart not from your mind.

He is spiritual and nothing spiritual comes from your mind, when your heart and mind are connected to God then ok you got it, but if you have no clue about your  heart – mind connection needing to be one in Christ, we have some conversating to do…

(Romans 15:6)so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Let me explain it this way….its your Spirit connected to God, and your mind has to be trained.

But how do you do that? How do I make my mind “mind”, because it wants to do it’s own thing?

So okay, when you are thinking a certain way, it wants to think another way.

Or maybe, when you are pondering  on the Word of God, it wants to wander.

Or, just maybe – when your praying, your thoughts want to tune into something totally different then what  your praying.

That there is the reason why we have so many powerless Christ Believers  today, it’s because they don’t know how to fight the battle of their mind.

(Philippians 4:8 AMP) Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart].

Every believer should know that their minds need to be strengthened,

( Joshua 1:8) Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it.

Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do renewed,

( Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.submitted unto God,

(James 4:7‭-‬8) ‬‬‬‬‬ Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.and your thoughts must be brought into captivity

(2 Corinthians 10:5)We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,

Understandably so…. believing requires the mind, but to trust requires the heart.

(Proverbs 3:5‭-‬6) Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;  in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.‬‬‬‬‬

To have saving faith (Romans4:25 ; John12:44-50), it requires for you to believe and to trust, and that requires the mind and the heart.

Which means, the mind and heart must both be changed through the power of the Holy Spirit.

( Ezekiel 36:26-27)I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.

Those who truly know God will love Him with all of their heart, soul, and mind  (Matthew 22:37)Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

(proverbs 3:5 -6)Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.( which is your carnal mind)

When God talks with you, it’s your Spirit-man that He communes with, not your soul or body.

The body as physical, which means using the five senses;  sight, hearing,  taste, smell, and touch.

The soul on the other hand is your humanity that makes you feel emotion, it’s a  way to magnify God through your human limitations.

Even though the spirit and soul may seem similar, they are actually very different.

They have different assignments in our lives, as written in ( Hebrews 4:12) For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

It shows in this verse above that there’re separate, and what’s also evident, is that the Word of God divides these two parts from each other.

The soul is basically our mind, will, and emotions.

Let’s not forget, God is a Spirit.(John 4:24) God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”

The operation of the spirit is spiritual, and through  the spirit is the only way to connect with God.

And that is by believing  there is only  (One) true God who can only be  received through our Lord Jesus Christ.

( John 14:6) Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

So, you should be asking yourself “ is there anything keeping me from God’s presence and knowing Him like a child know his Father?

If there is anything keeping you from knowing His presence like no other it would be sin. ( why)?

Sin… separates us from having a relationship with God. It separates us from His presence and being able to identify His voice.

( 2 Corinthians 6:14‭-‬18)Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial ? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.”  Therefore, “Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.”  And, “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”‬‬

What we have to know and understand is this, we were created for God and to live in His presence, to hunger to  have daily closeness with Him, but if there’s sin we are separated from Him.

It was only because God sent Jesus  ( Himself) in the form of a man, that  we were able to be restored and brought back into  right relationship with God our Father, Creator, and Head.

As Born Again Believers in Christ, we now have access again to commune with God and be in His presence every single hour of every day if we choose to.

(Matthew 7:7‭-‬8) ‬‬ “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Without His presence we would be lost and alone, and making statements like “ where do I belong” or “what is my purpose in life.

Living in God’s presence will answer these questions for you, WHY? because in His Word He says, “no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly”.( Psalm 84:11)

So, as we seek to be in His presence, and call on His name in prayer He listens, and He hears us.

(Jeremiah 33:3)Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.

Can I ask? Do you even know how to encounter His presence?

If you don’t,  you will today.

All you need is a hungry heart for Him? And to want to hear from Him.

All He wants is for you  to  long for a connection with Him, and desire Him wholehearted  above all else?

So, do yourself a favor- and start setting some time aside to be with Him.

And, if you aren’t saved invite Christ into your life, so you can experience that presence we all crave, even when we don’t know it…

( Matthew 5:6) Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

Start talking to God today, and if you do not know Him, start today by saying this……

pray this sinners prayer;

Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. Come into my life and do something with it…..In Jesus Name Amen!

Just know In the end….hands down, God wants your all.

He wants you to love Him with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind and with all your strength.’(Mark 12:30)

Be Blessed….
